Menu change
Tomorrow's lunch will be Fish and Chips (usually Fridays choice) and Fridays lunch will be Chicken with BBQ sauce and rice.
Due to the switch in days, all school sandwich forms for Thursday's choice will be given on Friday and vice versa.

Good morning! The year 2's are all up and dressed enjoying their breakfast. After breakfast we are off to feed the animals before our blind fold challenge.

Message from year 2 residential trip;
The children had a fantastic afternoon exploring micro habitats. We found lots of creatures and even caught a newt! After tea we went for a torch walk into the woods, followed by a hot chocolate and bedtime stories. We are looking forward to lots more fun today.

Dear Year 2 Parents and carers
Due to the warm weather forecast again tomorrow (Tuesday 19th July) we have moved the Year 2 prom to Wednesday 20th July. Your child can bring their prom clothes to school with them on Wednesday morning to change into at the end of the school day. You should collect your child from the school playground at 4.45pm.
All children will be given a packet of crisps, a snack size packet of biscuits and a drink of squash. Please let your class teacher know if your child is not allowed this.

Good afternoon,
Due to the very warm weather forecast for next week, children do not need to wear school uniform. This will apply for Monday 18th July – Thursday 21st July.
Please ensure the following: -
• Ensure children wear loose clothing that covers shoulders.
• Long loose trousers or ¾ length shorts are recommended.
• Ensure children have sun hats.
• Apply SPF50+sun cream before school.
• Ensure children have a named water bottle in school so that
this can be refilled throughout the day.
The children will be supervised to ensure they drink water regularly throughout the day.

Please can you ensure your child brings with them to school tomorrow:
Waterproof coat / jacket
Sensible / comfortable shoes or trainers

A small rucksack for the water bottle
Children should dress in school uniform and don't forget to apply sun cream. School are providing a packed lunch.

Its going to be a hot day today. Please can you apply sun cream and ensure your child brings a sunhat into school today.

The children have been practising their races for our fun sports day which will take place on Friday 8 July. All parents are invited to come onto the school field on the day via the new gate accessed off Silkin Way ( continue walking past the school gate ) to watch their child participate from the side of the track. You can bring your own blanket or chair to sit on if you wish. Please note that you are unable to cross the track to sit with your child.
Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit, sun hat and a water bottle.
Sports Day Timetable
9:30am -11:15am– The Nest am, Chicks 1, Chicks 2, Chicks 3
1.00pm -2:45pm – The Nest pm, Robins, Wrens, Swifts, Swallows
The Nest races will take place at the start of the morning and afternoon sessions. After their races the children will then go back into the Nursery so they won’t be out all morning/afternoon.
