THE BEST STEP IS THE NEXT STEP

Before joining Human Method Fabrizio was a professional cyclist who suffered a devastating car accident leaving him with nerve damage and severely debilitated, where even walking was a struggle.

After working with physios and training 3 times a week in a regular gym for a year he became frustrated with the lack of progress and new he needed to try something different.

We’ve been working together now for 6 months and he’s making massive improvements across the board.

Fabrizio’s unwillingness to give in, show up every session and get the work done is truly inspirational.

There is still a long way to go. He has his good days and bad days. But on the bad days we focus on how far he’s come and on the good days we celebrate the wins.

Movement vs Exercise

Meaningful transformations take time, patience and focus.

In January 2014 I decided I wanted to live life on my own terms and began to search for a space where I could bring my vision to life.

I worked hard but more importantly I was consistent, taking small steps in the right direction that edged me towards my goal.

I had already invested lot of time energy and money in a number of other properties before this one, but for one reason or another none of them were right. I made plenty of mistakes but learned some hard lessons along the way.

In January 2019 I finally found the right space and I spent the past 12 months building and creating Human Method.

Human Method is a safe and supportive space free of judgment where you can be yourself and evolve yourself physically and mentally - that allows you to grow and discover your potential.

I’m a so proud of The Space that I have created. It’s been a long and somewhat lonely journey but Now that my dream has become a reality I’d love to share it with you.

I’m looking for 10 successful busy men, who struggle to find a happy and healthy work life balance, who want to take control of their health, lose 5-10 kilos, gain lean muscle while dramatically improving their strength and energy levels in the next 60 days.

What do you need from your training space?

11/12/2019

Feeling better is the real goal here.

Whether your more immediate intent is fat loss, muscle gain or something else, these are very difficult if you are stressed, tired, and generally not yourself. Focus on feeling better, and you'll find that the body goals are a natural and powerful consequence.

11/12/2019

Are you training to look better or feel better?

10/12/2019

We help you take your health forward by focusing on your recovery, sleep, and nutrition. And we layer strength training, Aerobic training, and mobility training on top of that.

Unlike conventional methods our goal is for you to feel better and increase your energy levels not drain them so you can take your health forward and get your life back.

Fat loss or gaining muscle are simply the by product.

I became a personal trainer nearly 20 years ago in order to help people and make a big impact in their lives.

I spent the first 6-7 years of my career working with people from all walks of life, training them in gyms and health clubs all over Shropshire and the midlands.

I got to a stage where I had over 60 clients on my books and I was delivering between 30-40 sessions a week. All my clients were seemingly doing well, they would lose weight, build muscle, get fitter… all the things that were supposed to happen were happening but something wasn’t right.

Once they hit the magic numbers they were aiming for, they would stop - they may have physically transformed, but old habits remained, and so sooner or later, they would give me a call to get "back in shape" and the cycle would start again.

This didn't feel good to me. It simply didn’t make sense. I didn't feel that I was making the big impact in their lives that I'd set up to do.

I figured it must be my fault - and so I began investing in myself, spending what felt like a lot of money on all types of courses, workshops and seminars. I was reading every health, fitness and nutrition book I could get my hands on - and when I wasn’t reading I was listening to podcasts.

Whilst investing in my education was a positive step, I found myself jumping from one ‘shiny object’ to the next in search of that one thing that was going to give me the best information. But this only confused me and made me doubt myself even more. I was frustrated, I never felt like I knew enough, and I and was suffering from a serious case of imposter syndrome.

I realised that the traditional pathway that existed within the industry wasn’t for me. So I invested in a coach, not just any coach but a coach that was aligned with my values and understood me as a human.

This was the most difficult and rewarding period of my life, I’d painfully invested well over 30k up until this point and here I was again spending an uncomfortable amount of money on my self development but now, for the first time, I wasn’t just paying money for a certificate, I was actually being asked questions that I had to dig deep to find answers to.

This process taught me how to question everything I’d ever learned, including myself. Up until now I’d only ever been taught the "whats" and the "hows" but now I began to understood the “whys”. This was a game changer and it allowed me to figure out who I was and where I fit within the industry.

This was the first time I actually felt connected to anything. I was finally on the path that was meaningful to me, I was able to decipher and simplify the complexities of everything I'd ever learned, question it and filter it through my own values and beliefs. This was the beginning of my transition from being a personal trainer to becoming a coach.

With this new found insight I began implementing these new coaching techniques with great success but there was still one key piece that didn’t feel right. The environment didn’t match my philosophy.

That was a big realisation, and helped me to realise that the industry I’d put my faith in had not only let me down but the same industry had been letting people like you down for years. The commercial gym simply wasn’t designed for the everyday person.

So I began to search for a space of my own where I could bring my vision to life and in January this year I found it and spent the past 10 months creating Human Method.

Human Method is the most integrated, seamless, powerful and meaningful version of my vision to date that truly reflects my values.

One of my biggest challenges in creating Human Method is creating “packages” that reflect my values and are individual and meaningful for for every person who walks through the door.

I’ve chosen to create bespoke training plans for every single person - and I’m looking for 10 people who struggle to find a ‘healthy’ and happy work/life balance, find gyms uninspiring or simply have never achieved lasting results because nothing has ever truly been tailored to fit the needs of their lifestyle.

If this is you and you’re ready to take your health forward, get your life back and rediscover your purpose, please click on the link below and complete the application form.

No really...

You don't need to do more.

You need space.

Photos from Human Method's post 02/12/2019

Home is not a place it’s a feeling.

When you find a space that feels like home and people that feel like family, you will find yourself feeling safe and vulnerable all at the same time.

This combination of feelings will help you to feel supported and allow you to explore what you really need and want. Find that space and those people.

You can’t build a long term future on short term thinking

27/11/2019

5 years ago, after feeling some odd tingling in my legs (and lots of appointments) I was diagnosed with MS. I’d always been quite fit and active and the first couple of years didn’t really impact this lifestyle. In December 2017 I suffered a relapse which left me with acute balance and coordination problems and only able to walk really short distances.

I spent the next year or so undergoing aggressive treatment to attempt to halt the progression of my disease. During this time I made a promise to myself, if I got through this I’d do everything that I could to return to my previous levels of ability, I wasn’t ready to give in.

I started looking for somebody to help, I wasn’t sure what this help would look like but I knew it wasn’t a personal trainer in the traditional sense. I’d had personal trainers before, they had been great and helped enormously, but I knew that this time my needs, expectations and goals were very different.

I took a leap of faith, I’d met Pom a few times in the past and had been struck by his attention to the fundamentals of wellness & movement and his open and holistic approach. I’d heard that he was working on something, I figured a chat couldn’t do any harm.

A couple of months on… Its one of the best calls I’ve made. The most important thing that my work at Human Method has brought me is hope. I have a new outlook on life, I’m re-learning a lot of the things that MS has taken but with a new understanding and an even greater appreciation. The work that I do with Pom right now is based on very fundamental movements, this takes a lot of patience (on both parts). Its really hard work but always enjoyable.

The space is the one place where I’m not conscious of the way I walk or move. When I’m there… I’m not Linz with MS. I’m Linz working really hard with somebody that understands my goals. I’m enthusiastic, for the first time in years and I’m confident that I’ll get back to me and that’s an amazing feeling.

...This is so much more.

25/11/2019

This is not a gym. It’s not a bootcamp. It’s not CrossFit. It's not personal training. And it's not a 12-week transformation.

So what is it?

It’s a space for you to disconnect from the world in order to reconnect with yourself.

22/11/2019

Nothing against CrossFit... just saying this ain’t it.

Training has a greater purpose than simply losing or gaining a few pounds.

When we move with an intention to improve it has the power to build resilience, unlock dormant potential and even heal.

Changing your life forever.

Gyms are full of a lot of the same machines because all the programs are the same no matter who you are or where you are in your health and fitness journey...

Human Method is a space - every single program is personalised to YOU, your ability, your lifestyle, your needs and your schedule because you are a unique human being on a life adventure

12/11/2019

This is a methodology for LIFE

12/11/2019

For your health and fitness to have relevance in the modern age and contribute to human endeavour it must have a positive impact beyond weight loss and aesthetics.

It must be driven by a greater purpose that relates not only to the individual but to humankind as a whole and improve the human condition.

26/10/2019

You’re not going to do it until you find the space

25/10/2019

You have limited space in your diary.

So finding the space for you to think, relax, and explore is difficult and the last thing on your mind.

But you'll see that when you create space to explore in your schedule, you'll learn what's truly important to you, and be able to focus the time you have even more on that.

It's a paradox. But it starts with space.

24/10/2019

You have the time.
You just don’t have the space.
