Community Dance School. Fun friendly dance classes for all ages and abilities. Silhouette Dance Group is aimed for children that love to dance!

Classes are fun, friendly and affordable, in street, contemporary, ballet and tap. We aim to teach structure, discipline and team work whilst becoming passionate about something. We usually describe ourselves as family! We provide lots of performing experience at various events and hold an annual show. We are a small group with a big heart for ambition! Bursting with pride!

Thank you to Dance Equality Competitions - Home of the Throne for organising yesterday’s competition and thank you for having us. Although it was a very long day, we are so proud of how our dancers represented our school and its core values. You cheered everyone on and congratulated others.

•Meet Abbie•

Abbie's passion for dance started from a young age where she regularly attended dance classes across a number of disciplines; Ballet being her favourite.

She danced for many years. Abbie's other passion is for horses and she decided to study Equine Science and breeding and went on to achieve her degree. Over the last 10 years Abbie has worked in the animal industry and enjoyed it very much.
With 3 young children and eager to dance again, she is proud to be a part of the Silhouette Dance family, working alongside Meg, helping to nurture and encourage all dancers of the next generation.

Abbie is fully insured, DBS checked and holds a chaperone licence.

•Meet Meg•

Meg fell in love with dance as a child. She took classes in ballet, tap and street dance at a local dance school for many years, she began assisting in teaching classes in her late teens. After completing her A levels, she opened Silhouette Dance in 2011, then later gained her IDTA teaching qualification.

Meg is so proud of the community that has been built from Silhouette Dance and what we stand for - we are a family, we build confidence, we give structure and discipline but in a fun and encouraging environment. She's so happy to able to share her passion for dance! Meg is fully insured, first aid trained, DBS checked, holds a music licence and chaperone license.

Qualifications: GCSE A* grade & distinction A level in dance. Dance leadership qualification. Qualified associate freestyle dance teacher with the IDTA.

She is taking training this month with acrotrix to become a qualified acro instructor 🤸‍♂️

Our Story

Silhouette Dance group is for children that simply love to dance!

We are the heart of the local community and we often describe ourselves as family!

Classes are fun, friendly and affordable. We provide classes in commercial street, contemporary and baby ballet. We aim to teach structure, discipline and team work whilst finding love for dance and making new friends.

We provide lots of performing experiences at various events and hold annual showcases.

We are a small group with a big heart and our aim is to provide dance classes that are for all ages and abilities.

We always welcome new dancers so please do not hesitate to get in contact.
