We have all had such a lovely day at the Outdoor Learning Conference that was held at Hellens Manor today. Brilliantly run, amazing setting, speakers and workshops, lovely people and a fantastic lunch! Wow! Thanks to all that worked so hard to make it a success!

A StoryWalk spotted on our last park-walk (thank you Jefferson County Library, Port Hadlock). StoryWalks consist of a book’s pages laminated and placed on signs along the length of a trail—they stack reading with walking, bending, squatting, and nature/outside time for a family.

Hi there,
After a strange old year with lots to reflect on we are ready to come back with a boom (Stone Age style) and we wanted to get back in touch with all of you who have supported us in the past and let you know about what Outback2basics has in store.

Stone Age day

The big change here is our pricing structure. We now only have two prices for our Stone Age day.
1 class £400
2 classes £600

(dependant on where you are located there maybe a travel cost).
Our hope is that tis will make our workshops more accessible to all schools.

As it was before, you can either come to us in our woodlands or we can travel out to you delivering a cave person in your classroom.

The other change is that we have invested in a marque for our woodlands making our sessions more accessible in all weathers.

Due to the restrictions linked with Covid we are now proud to able to present you with the opportunity to access our Stone Age workshop, in the safety and comfort of your own classrooms, with a live Zoom session streamed directly into your classroom!

Other exciting news
In 2019 we filmed a 3 part documentary series for Channel 4 called “Surviving the Stone Age” https://www.channel4.com/programmes/surviving-the-stone-age. It follows our adventure of living in the wild as a Stone Age tribe of hunter gatherers travelling through the Bulgarian wilderness.
So If you want to have real cave people in your class room or at our woodland site, sharing their stories and showing off all of their real life cave gear from spears, stone tools, furs and pots please get in contact!

And if you book your session by the end of April you will receive a 10% discount only available through this email. When you contact us to book, mention the discount RETURN10 and we will add the discount for you!
