Our babies have also been continuing with the red, white and blue Jubilee theme. The loved scooping up the coloured rice and then filling and emptying the little bowls, showing fabulous dexterity as they did this. They also enjoyed sticking coloured paper onto their own crowns. ππ¬π§

Here are some of the lovely creative activities that our toddlers have been taking part in to celebrate the Queenβs Jubilee.
They have been working hard modelling with clay to create some beautiful sparkly crowns β the children rolled out the clay, before cutting out the crown shape and then when the clay was dry, they painted and decorated their crowns!
They also finger painted some red, white and blue flags, made a mod roc queens head (with help from Zenobia) and practiced their scissor control and colouring by decorating more lovely crowns.
Well done everyone! πΈπ°π

The dandelion's children have been talking about dental hygiene. Using the toothbrush and model mouth the children took it in turns to brush the teeth to make them all clean. The children then talked about the importance of caring for their teeth, and what they use to brush their teeth with, and also when we should brush our teeth, in the morning, at night, after food.

Rising 3's have really enjoyed making some gingerbread biscuits this afternoon with our nursery cook Jo. Firstly we discussed all of the equipment and the ingredients that we would be using. The children enjoyed watching the dial move as we began to add the ingredients to the weighing scales, they concentrated very well indeed and have had lots of fun! π

The Preschool children have had lots of fun making yummy jam tarts with Jo the housekeeper. She spoke to them about what ingredients they would need to make the pastry. The children then measured, poured, stirred and rolled the pastry, then using the pastry cutters cut it into circles and filled them with tasty strawberry jam. Yummy!
