Yesterday it was Chinese New Year!
This year is the year of the Rabbit π
To celebrate, today our pupils were treated to a fantastic feast of traditional dishes, and took part in a variety of activites to mark the joyous occasion!

Enjoy short tours, refreshments and a huge variety of fun, child-friendly activities designed to show you what life is like for our Reception to Year 2 children. Activities include hands-on experiments, creating Spanish tapas, discovering fossils and help us to free our dinosaurs locked in the ice! π

Our first morning concert of the term took place this morning with our Year 6 Speaking Concert, and it of course, didn't disappoint!
The confidence and talent on show was incredible to see and was enjoyed by all!

Today at lunch we had a Day of the Dead Mexican celebration!
After learning about it in Spanish this morning, we will explore it more as part of Epiphany in Chapel tomorrow.
Our children thoroughly enjoyed this special themed lunch - what a great way to welcome everyone back!

The children had such a great time during their Christmas parties; the afternoon was filled with games, food and dancing, followed by an ice cream to finish off the festivities! πβοΈ
The children have thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas dinner! They then raised the roof with their three cheers for the catering team who prepared, cooked and served the magnificent dinner for us all. π
It's Christmas jumper day here at Old Hall School! The children all look wonderfully festive in their jumpers as they enjoy a day filled with fun Christmas activities!
Today we held a very special assembly to say goodbye to some much-loved members of staff. There were memories shared and even a special song sung to say a fond farewell to Mrs Hardy, Mr Ashley, Miss Disney and Mandy from our catering team. Thank you and goodbye!
Well done to the Year 6 Eco Committee, who hosted a wonderful bake sale to raise money to buy plants for the classrooms at Old Hall School. Thank you to all who provided these yummy treats for the bake sale!

Earlier on this week, we had a lot of excited children (and staff) in Upper School, as they went to watch a fabulous performance of Beauty and the Beast at Theatre Severn β¨
They all had such a wonderful time! It's always a lovely time of year, panto season!

We are getting into the spirit of Christmas here at Old Hall School, our beautifully decorated Christmas tree went up this week in reception. We are looking forward to all of the festivities over the next few weeks!
2W transported us back in time to 1666 to showcase all that they have learnt about The Great Fire of London. They all sang, danced and performed their speaking parts brilliantly!

They have worked in pairs to order football numbers, scored goals, and explored flags from around the world!

Our Year 2 pupils enjoyed their P.E lesson in which they danced to the 'Haka'.
This dance is usually performed in a group and represent a display of a tribe's pride, strength and unity.

Our Remembrance Service took place in Chapel, this afternoon.
We all enjoyed beautiful spoken readings from the pupils and a fantastic performance from the Old Hall Choir.
We also welcomed back Old Hallian, Daniel Hall, who played The Last Post and Reveille to see us into and out of our one minute silence.
