Christmas word hunt!
Can you find the letters in the basket to make a festive Christmas word?
The children loved this festive game. The children had great fun rummaging and hunting for a letter then matching their letter to a festive word on the table. The children were really good at helping each other to complete the words! Great team work guys well done !

Christmas tree scratch angels. The children were mesmerised and amazed at the colours that emerged after scratching away at the angels. The children enjoyed guessing what colours they would find each time they made a new mark!
The children really enjoyed mark making in their angels, attempting to draw letters in their name, shapes and patterns.

This afternoon the children have enjoyed making salt dough Christmas tree decorations. The children enjoyed rolling out their dough, choosing their cutter, painting and decorating with glitter ๐๐๐

Exploring prepositions and using language to describe where the feathers land. The children dropped the feathers from different heights to see if they would land inside the Christmas tree, at the top, middle, bottom or outside of the tape.

Great activity for little fingers! Threading the hoops onto the pipe cleaners and comparing the sizes. Some of the children also talked about the shapes they could make as they manipulated the pipe cleaners. We then hung them in the garden for the birds to munch!

Can you decorate the Christmas tree?๐
Working on fine motor skills, the children used the tweezers to grasp the Pom Poms and pipe cleaners and place them on the tree. We made patterns, learnt colours and talked about our own Christmas tree decorations.

Surprise visit! The children were so excited to see baby Amora today ๐ฅฐ

Yesterday we started to decorate nursery ready for Christmas festivities! We had lots of discussion about Santa and talked about what the children would like to do at nursery over the next few weeks ๐

Today our little people dressed up, got in to character found their shopping list and headed to the supermarket. We had fresh fruit and vegetables, an array of cakes and treats and a cheese board. The children had a go at weighing their fruits and vegetables, bagging up their items and paying for them. It was a good day at the supermarket today, all fresh produce has gone so the shop is now closed!
Till number 4 please ๐

Another successful day yesterday at the cafe! Look out for our Christmas menu! ๐

Mark making shapes and letters. Yesterday the children loved getting messy and using the vegetables as mark making tools! ๐ฅ ๐ฅ

Hello, welcome to our cafe! What would you like to eat?
We set up our very own cafe and looked through the menus (supermarket magazines) to discuss what the customers might like to eat. The children loved seeing all the Christmas food and talked about what they might like for Christmas dinner and pudding! The children took the customers orders, dealt with money, complaints and made bookings. The children took note of phone numbers and looked for letters from peopleโs names on the laptop keys! The cafe has an excellent rating-weโd recommend you try it! ๐ฅฐ

Pudsey addition and subtraction! The children have done some fantastic counting today and had a go at writing the total amount๐ป

Pudsey themed messy tuff tray. The children had so much fun with our shaving foam and yellow paint pudsey. The children added the pom-poms for the spots on his bandana. The children enjoyed using their paint brushes and fingers to mark make in the foam. Attempting to write numbers and letters.

๐บ โช๏ธ We have just received love words from the Reverend from Forton church on the childrenโs display for Remembrance Sunday last week, and would like to share with you all the lovely response we receivedโฆ.. โช๏ธ ๐บ
๐ First of all very many thanks for the wonderful display in All Saints Church for Remembrance Sunday. All the congregation (myself included)
were amazed and impressed by the children's efforts and were also greatly touched by it. Thank you very much for it, and all the other displays you have placed in the Church. We like to leave them where you placed them round the base of the altar, and also on the top so that everyone can see and admire the children's handiwork.
Reverend Edward

Can you draw pudsey ?
Lots of free drawing this morning letting their imaginations run free.

This activity focused on letters and their sounds. The children had a go at identifying and matching sounds to their letter and practiced writing and tracing their letter.

Shape sorting. The children had to sort their shapes by both colour and shape. Working on and encouraging shape and colour recognition.

Todayโs tuff tray was small world. The children asked for a car and roads tuff tray. We added some different areas like the field for the cows and the river for the fish ๐ the children decided to use the tree as a target in the middle of the tray and created their own game of knocking down the tree with the cars. The children had fun parking their cars in the car park. Feeding the ducks and playing with the fish in the river.

Mark making and music making ๐ถ
Outside for a run around to warm ourselves up and some good old fresh air. The children loved mark making with chalks on the outdoor chalk board and enjoyed making some super loud noises crashes and bangs with the wooden spoons.

The children loved our duck books station and loved looking at the pictures of all the different ducks, sharing and expressing their ideas about the ducks in their books. The children had a go at using the duck ๐ฆ stencils to create their own mommy duck and baby duck pictures and loved colouring them in bright yellow QUACK

Mother duck said quack quack quack ๐ฆ
