Art-K is an art club for 6-16 years located in Ironbridge. We aim to teach children a range of media and techniques to help them develop artistically.
Art-K has been running for 17 years and we are now excited to start a club in Ironbridge. We provide a fun, creative atmosphere where children aged 6-16 are taught artistic skills. Our aim is for children to explore and experiment with a range of paints- watercolour, acrylics, pastels, inks- and to develop their drawing skills in many different ways. Outstanding impact recorded in decreased depression, stress or anxiety symptoms in adults who attended regular art workshops in Cambridgeshire. The project is led by arts and mental health charity Arts and Minds.
"An evaluation revealed a 71% decrease in feelings of anxiety and a 73% fall in depression; 76% of participants said their wellbeing increased and 69% felt more socially included."
