I'm excited to say that I'm running a youth Traditional Music Summer School in Ayrshire, 4th-6th July! Delighted to be working with top musicians and educators; Jenn Butterworth and Adam Sutherland to deliver a range of fantastic workshops and to promote Traditional music in Ayrshire.

A fun weekend of tuition in Trad Music by top Scottish Musicians FEB 18 and 19 2017. Primary Secti An ideal opportunity to showcase their new musical skills.
The North Ayrshire Fèis is open to all S1 - S6 pupils from across Scotland and takes place from Friday 8 - Sunday 10 February 2013 in Inverclyde National Sports Centre, Largs. A fantastic opportunity for young people to come together and learn skills in traditional music, song, dance and Gaelic language. A team of experienced tutors will lead the workshops on guitar, pipes/chanter, singing, fiddle

The Jenna Reid Fiddle Day : Saturday 31st August 2013 : Carrick Centre, Maybole
Hi there Fiddle Day Folks!
I’m really excited about the very first Fiddle Day later this year and I’m very looking forward to welcoming you all to the Carrick Centre in Maybole!
As well as the two classes that are offered at the cost of £10 per person per class, there will be a session for all. There will also be a wee craft stall with one or two Shetland surprises, CDs, beautiful handmade scarfs and bags and my brand new fiddle book!
Every Fiddle Day participant will have free entry to the evening concert, where I will be performing with Kevin Mackenzie.
Here’s the layout as a wee reminder....
Intermediate Class 2.00pm- 3.30pm
Advanced Class 4.00pm - 5.30pm
In between the classes there will be tea and coffee and the chance to have a session and browse the crafts and music on sale.

Tradfest
Tradfest Have you ever listened to a piece of traditional ceilidh music or a marching pipe band and had the urge to pick up an instrument?
The deadline for form submissions has been extended until the end of November. If you haven't applied it isn't too late. Remember there are 3 sections.. Primary, Secondary and Adult.

Treacherous Orchestra 'Superfly'
Innes Watson, John Sommerville and Ali Hutton from the Scotland's most famous trad big band The Treacherous Orchestra will be leading Treacherous Week @ Ceol Mor' working with MD Stephen Deazley on TO material, bringing the TO approach to arrangements and generally bringing out the best in our young musicians.
Applications for Ceol Mor (for musicians aged 16-25) will be on the AIYF site soon but to book your place early please e-mail your details to [email protected]
