The Future Gym Team would like to thank Bruce from First Aid Training East Scotland (FATES) for the excellent Emergency First Aid Training delivered to us today in our new gym. The time absolutely just flew by as we were learning so much from Bruce’s experience with the fire services, and volunteering with the ambulance services. We even got a shot on his high-tech blue-tooth CPR mannequins which gave us real-time feedback on how we are doing and learned how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Good afternoon Happy Easter weekend to all.❤️🐇🐰 Dave, the Future Gym Team and I just want to send our love (and virtual chocolate eggs) to everyone for the amazing support we got so far from the kind folks at South Queensferryand beyond. Thank you!❤️❤️

Now for usual Eric silliness.😜 So, I asked Dave what pic to use and he reminded me the time during PT session where I over-egged it doing bunny hops in the tennis court and needed to lie down for a bit.🤢 Before I rose from feeling quite dead, I thought it was hilarious so I asked Dave to take pic of it. We went for cake and tea after.🍰🧁☕🍵

To me, Future Gym is not just a fitness facility. It is about friendships, it is care, it is growth. My fitness goal was to feel more confident in what I do, hence Dave pushed me not only to get stronger physically but also mentally and in my self esteem. The gym and what we do is about picking someone up from tennis courts to spur him on to make videos about demonstrating how to effectively do bunny hops. And maybe have some chocolate eggs, cakes, tea and a laugh along the way too.

It’s a pleasure to announce that (FATES) has joined Our future fitness group business partnership.

First Aid Training East Scotland (FATES) was set up in 2019 to deliver high quality training, at competitive prices, to meet the needs of individuals, community groups and businesses. Partnership working is key for businesses, and their staff, to establish, grow and develop and makes sense for all involved. Working with Dave at Future Gym to support and develop his new business and his colleagues Continuous Personal Development is the right thing to do. We are both know that this will be reassuring for Future Gym’s customers knowing that their safety and wellbeing is being looked after.
FATES deliver First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid courses as well as Mental Health First Aid, Fire Safety and Health & Safety courses in a relaxed manner using a blend of traditional face to face learning and online learning, as appropriate for the course.
Bruce’s experiences, in his 30 year career in the Fire Service and Zofia’s 40 years experiences as a Nurse, stand us in good stead to not only deliver courses but also enable us relate the training to real life events and experiences.

FAQ's - Hope this is helpful for current and future gym members.

IF I SIGN UP FOR EARLY BIRD DEAL, WHEN DO I GET ACCESS TO THE GYM?

You will have access to the Gym on 1st May 2021, and you will continue to enjoy your low membership rate for 6 months if you signed up during this period. There are no contracts so you just continue to pay until you want to cancel.

WOULD I BE TIED TO A LENGTHY CONTRACT WITH MEMBERSHIP PLANS?

Not at all, you just pay for the month in advance and you can cancel anytime you want.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A FACE MASK WHILST IN THE GYM?

We will closely monitor the situation and advice from the Government. If there is a restriction in place at the time when the Gym opens, you may be required to wear a mask.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY DIRECT DEBIT MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP?

You can either call or email us, or go into the ‘My Account’ section of the website and you will be able to cancel your membership there.

DO YOU OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNT?

Absolutely! Just sign up to our Student membership package. You will be required to present your Student ID on your first visit to the Gym.

CAN I UPGRADE OR DOWNGRADE MY MEMBERSHIP?

We advise you to cancel your existing membership first by going into ‘My Account’ section of the website, then sign up for a new package. If in doubt, please give us a call and we will be happy to assist you

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO JOIN?

You need to be at least 16 to sign up but there’s no maximum age limit – Everybody Welcome!

CAN I PAY FOR MY MEMBERSHIP BY CASH?

Sorry, we only accept online payments. We do not accept cash within the Gym.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE GYM?

Yes, we offer Free Parking for members of our Gyms.

HOW HEAVY ARE YOUR FREE WEIGHTS?

Our plates go up to 25kg each and our dumbbells range from 1kg up to a maximum 30kg. We have plenty of each available so you’ll always find what you need.

CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT?

Our team is always there to help. Up on your first visit, you will be shown around the Gym and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. We also offer discounted rates for Personal Training Sessions for all our members.

In light of the recent Government announcement, the Future Gym opening date has been moved to Saturday 1st May. Those of you living in the area may have noticed more activity around the gym and it's so exciting to see my dream beginning to take shape.
