Fab afternoon of outdoor learning with Ash Class. Yr3 made bird feeders from apples and sunflower seeds. Yr4 created star wreaths from school willow and greenery from the school grounds.

Despite the hot summer and lack of water, the Barrow school garden has produced an enormous amount of produce. Most going to the school kitchen for lunches and the rest to parents.

The Barrow 1618 school garden is not just a place for growing plants but a learning resource for all subject's. Three yr1 children spent part of this morning planting but also counting, multiplying and measuring whilst having fun.

Lots of children in the Barrow 1618 school garden today. Planting seeds, raking veg beds and watering the new trees. These were planted in a copse of 75 on Saturday to mark the Queens jubilee by pupils, parents and staff.
