Reception did such a fantastic job performing their Topic finale for spring term ‘Long ago’ and ‘Ready steady grow’. Thank you to all the parents that were able to attend our performance today! We are so proud of the Reception children for sharing their work and talking about what they have learnt this term.

In Science this week, Year 5 planned and carried out their own science experiment based on their topic Properties and Changes of Materials. They enjoyed observing what material made the ice poles melt the fastest and felt the ice poles while they changed state.

Year 6 had the pleasure of talking to Michael Leach on Zoom, a wildlife photographer and author. He shared his knowledge and experience of visiting Antarctica and the Arctic. This was a fantastic way to end our topic this term, Frozen Kingdom. It was a great session!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Newtons Sitting Volleyball team who smashed their games today and came FIRST in the Borough!!! The team played and WON all their games today to become Borough Champions and are now on their way to represent Havering in the London Youth Games! What a fantastic result and a fantastic team! I am so proud of all their achievements today! Well done Team Newtons!!
