The start of term seems to be going well for most. Good luck to all of my Year 7 pupils starting new schools and to all of those Year 5s who have taken the 11+ and are waiting for their results. You are all achievers in my class.

In my experience, the best time for your children to do their Kumon or other work is first thing in the morning. Make it part of your breakfast routine and it's done for the day and they are switched on and ready for school. 😀

I've been getting some great feedback following the Year 4 and 5 CAT results which have recently been released from some schools. The quantitative marks (maths) are coming back high, one less thing to worry about. If you haven't had them, ask your school for the results. They take a bit of explanation and understanding but are a good indicator of any gaps. Well done Kumon students.

David Williams has written a new short book especially for World Book Day. Cost £1 or free with the book token the children receive from school. Enjoy World Book Day, reading has enormous benefits educationally and emotionally.

Good luck with the costumes. I appear to be making a Christmasaurus!!! 😀
