Well done to everyone who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge. We won a beanbag for the school library! We can't wait to use it once the restrictions around soft furnishings in school are lifted.
Thank you to our colleagues from the Portsmouth Music Hub for joining us today.
Lovely to hear from so many schools across the country performing Poppies and Faded Ribbons as part of the commemorative events.
A privilege to be invited to Lynhurst Junior school’s online performance today and to see their beautiful poppy wave
At at time when we are separated from many we love, the Lyndhurst Family came together to create a new poppy wave as a symbol of remembrance, togetherness and hope. Each member of our school made a poppy and it is lovely to see them united for us and our community to enjoy.
Year 3 had a fantastic day creating prehistoric Cave Art using crushed berries, avocados and mud!

Stockholm are learning so much history whilst having fun in the fresh air and sunshine. This week has been a super way to start Year 3's Prehistoric Britain work. Thank you to the staff at Butser and to the children for being such magnificent ambassadors for LJS.
Copenhagen class were Stone Age hunter gatherers today. Some of us even got to feed the goats. The wall made from clunch is getting really tall after 3 visits from LJS.
Today was Helsinki class' turn to visit Butser. They had a lovely day looking around the Neolithic house, meeting the animals and using flint tools to carve chalk.
Year 3, Oslo class are having a fantastic day learning about the lives of Stone Age and Iron Age people. Making a wall out of clunch was mucky but lots of fun!
We found this useful - we hope you do too.
