We're taking part in Hits Radio's Walk Around the World in aid of Cash for Kids Day to help make sure no child goes hungry during the school holidays this year.

For some the holidays aren’t filled with days out, fun activities and full stomachs. They can be lonely, sad and full of worry, as they see their parents struggling to find enough money to keep them fed. That's why all the money raised this Cash for Kids Day will fund projects helping to provide food and fun for every child, so no-one misses out.

Today we have had a lovely visit from Jodie Gosling for Nuneaton and Clare Roberts (CEO). We enjoyed showing them all of the exciting things we get up to at nursery.

Today’s a big day: primary school places have been announced! 📬✨ We’re bursting with pride for our little superstars and feel incredibly lucky to have been part of their journey so far. Now, we’re ready to cheer them on as they take their next exciting step! 🌟💛

In the months ahead, we’ll be sharing plenty of gentle tips, playful activities, and positive ideas to help make the move to ‘big school’ feel fun, smooth, and full of confidence. Meanwhile, our wonderful team will be busy behind the scenes doing all sorts of lovely things to support each child at their own pace. 🎨🧩🖍️

Just a reminder to all Pre-School parents, tomorrow is school placement day for school leavers.

Please inform Pre-School staff with the name of the school so they can begin transition prep!

Pre-School have also created a School Readiness display outside the Pre-School Room with information you may find useful during the transitional period.

The time has come for our wonderful Tots Room Leader, Nashreen, to begin her maternity leave. As Baby Khalifa is almost here, all of us at Kids Planet George Eliot would like to wish Nashreen and family the very best! We cannot wait to meet Baby Khalifa.👶🍼🩷💙

Tots Wellbeing Wednesday, Easter Edition!

Today the team had a fab morning as they all joined in with a team easter egg hunt.
Rising 3's were the first team to find all their eggs, followed by Pre-School, Babies and Tots.

The team then enjoyed an Easter themed buffet in the Staff Room.

Well done Team, that was an eggcellent effort! 👏

We've loved celebrating our incredible apprentices this week and sharing their inspiring journeys with you! 📣

✨ Meet Sienna Moran Lloyd: From apprentice to senior practitioner at Kids Planet! 🌟

Sienna has recently completed her Level 3 apprenticeship at Kids Planet Chester, describing the experience as “life-changing.” 💖

💬 “Every day, I get to help children reach key milestones like taking their first steps or saying their first words. Knowing I’ve made that kind of impact is what makes it all so special.”

Starting at 18, Sienna initially lacked confidence, but with the support of her Kids Planet team, she has grown into a skilled and passionate practitioner. Over two years, she gained hands-on experience, developed her confidence, and built strong connections with children and families—proving that apprenticeships offer so much more than just a qualification.

📚 Kids Planet provided funded study hours, additional training like WELLCOMM and WOWCon, and an incredibly supportive team to help her thrive. “The apprenticeship gave me the chance to learn while working hands-on with children. It’s not just a qualification—it’s a career foundation.”

🌱 Now a senior practitioner, Sienna is looking to the future with a goal of specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). “SEND is where my heart lies. Every child deserves tailored support to help them thrive, and I want to be part of creating that impact.”

This week, from 3rd-9th February, we’re embracing the important initiative of Children’s Mental Health Week! 🌿 This year’s theme, "Know Yourself, Grow Yourself," encourages children to explore their feelings, build self-awareness, and develop the confidence to thrive. 💚✨

We'll be diving into a week full of fun and heart-warming activities to help little ones know themselves and grow themselves! 🌱💛

This week, we celebrated a HUGE milestone at our KKids Planet Training Academy- our first group of team members graduated from the National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL)! 🎓🎉

Developed with UUniversity College London (UCL) this course helps nursery staff grow their skills and careers. A big congratulations to our 14 AMAZING graduates, from managers to directors! 👏

Special thanks to our Academy Leader, Gill Mason for helping shape this program, ensuring our team continues providing the best care for your little ones! 💙

🌙🐉 Happy Lunar New Year! 🧧✨

This week, we’ve been busy celebrating Lunar New Year with lots of fun activities! 🎊

🐲 Dragon Dancing – We created our own dragon puppets and practiced a lively dance.

🎨 Arts & Crafts – The children made red and gold lanterns, lucky envelopes, and painted fireworks.

🐍 The Year of the Snake – Did you know the Year of the Snake represents wisdom, intuition, and transformation? We explored its meaning and made our own snake-themed crafts!

🚆 Chinatown Adventure – We took the train to Chinatown, where we saw beautiful decorations and visited a Chinese supermarket to pick out our own ingredients.

🥢 Tasty Treats & Fine Motor Fun – Back at nursery, we enjoyed noodles (for longevity) and oranges (for good luck) while practicing using chopsticks—lots of concentration and giggles!
