Assembly on Lent today 01/03/2024

Assembly on Lent today
The boys and girls enjoyed a wonderful assembly this morning with Reverend Elizabeth all about Lent. Reverend Elizabeth talked about how Jesus himself was tempted by the devil for 40 days and how he overcame all the temptations. She used a candle to represent Jesus being the light of the world and talked about how we prepare for special events and related this to our preparations during lent in order to prepare for Easter. Rev. Elizabeth also used four boxes and some paint to illustrate three things we can all do during lent, fast, pray and give. The children and staff all learned a lot. Thanks again to Reverend Elizabeth for joining us this morning for our assembly.
