New accommodation tent and new hand wash area @ Footsteps of Discovery
Our Splanna group from had another inspiring visit to Footsteps of Discovery in Nantillio Woods.
Master woodcarver and instructor, Leon, along with Mark and Hammy taught us how to carve firesticks and owls! These creative efforts are now proudly displayed in prominent places around Bodmin homes.
We were lucky enough to have lunch over an open fire in some (wintery) sunshine too.

Huge thanks to our friends Mark, Robin and Tom from Footsteps of Discovery for teaching students from Bodmin College and bushcraft and survival skills this week. Fire starting, using a catapult, axe throwing and toasting marshmallows were a lot of fun!

Good staff training/refresher day today 13th January 2022, Covered BASIC FIRE, SAFE CUTTING, RESCUE BEACONS, SHELTER KENNEL, SHELTER LEAN TO, FIRE REFLECTOR, WATER FILTERS a very successful days training, ready now to expand the knowledge and pass it on to others.
Another brilliant day with Footsteps!

Amazing Time this weekend at The Footsteps To Discovery LI Reunion. Blessed with great weather and members of the Light Infantry and DCLI Boys. Thanks to Spanner Manley for making us all feel welcome. If your Rifles, Light Infantry Green Jacket of DCLI you must try and go. Cant wait for next year.
