If you have a child or young person returning to school there are some important self-isolation updates to be aware of 👇

🔵 Under the new guidance, Test and Protect will advise any children or young people (over 5 years old) who have been identified as close contacts of a positive confirmed Covid case to stay at home until they have a negative PCR test result

🔵Pupils who have a negative PCR result and who have no symptoms can return to school

🔵Pupils with Covid symptoms, or who have tested positive, should stay at home immediately and follow the guidance on self-isolation.

To find out more, visit ➡https://www.nhsinform.scot/isolation

A busy start to club so far this term. We’ve been revisiting our rules, starting our ‘tennis skills’ lessons, deciding on our individual goals and talking about how to stop germs from spreading. Lisa did a great ‘test’ with 3 volunteers to show them their hand washing skills. With their eyes closed they were given ‘soap’ and had to clean their hands for 20 seconds to see how well they did. We were impressed at how thorough they all were! They got a surprise at how red their hands were 😂

2 weeks of summer holiday club finished and it was fantastic! What better way to end it than a trip to St. Fillans!

What was everyone else doing at 7am today?! I was busy rinsing out some of the tie-dye t-shirts the children made at club yesterday and hanging them on the line.
For those who took theirs home, we’d love to see how yours have turned out!

Jennifer brought in her mini fountain this week. The children loved creating a water world for the dinosaurs with it! Think we might need to invest in one of these for the club!

Petition: Grant wraparound and holiday care providers urgent financial support Despite the vital role the wraparound and holiday care sector plays in caring for children outside of school hours, it has been forgotten by the Government and received no direct financial support. An interesting read. We certainly make the most of any planting opportunity. The children’s planters are looking great outside the church building. One planter for each of the groups. The children painted them, they voted for the plants they wanted to grow and they planted them. https://theconversation.com/how-gardening-at-school-can-tackle-child-obesity-149953

This week was all about anti-bullying week. We had a toothpaste activity representing that once you have said hurtful things to someone that pain can’t be taken away (or put back in a toothpaste tube); we talked about our feelings when someone has been hurtful to us; we created a jigsaw with each piece showing how unique we all are and celebrating our differences (still more to add as some didn’t finish or we’re off this week); and we made a start to our kindness paper chain 🥰

Photos from Muthill Kiddy Club's post 17/11/2020

😡 We are absolutely disgusted at the mess that some people have left the church grounds in. It happened over the long weekend - there has been a bonfire and charred rubbish has been left strewn everywhere. 😡

This is an area the kids at Kiddy Club frequently play in; where school children and their families walk to school from if coming by car; where the older children at the school run round as part of their running programme; where church members walk to get to services; an access point to get to the horse fields; an area where people walk their dogs; and a place where young families go to see the horses.

If anyone has seen any suspicious behaviour please let us or the church know. If there is any cctv around that end of the village please let us know. We wondered if they have taken books out of the phone box to burn.....

This is really not acceptable 😡
