You’re not perfect!

Today one of our dancers felt upset at class because they wanted their dance to be perfect and during rehearsals it wasn’t going as well as normal.

Miss Charlotte sat with the dancers to chat about perfection and how it can look so different to each one of us.

Miss C expressed that a perfect performance to her is a brilliant atmosphere.

Another dancer said perfection to them is when they know they have tried their hardest and had lots of fun.

We also spoke about how important it is to make mistakes and learn from them, also some mistakes look that awesome, they become a part of the dance.

We can’t wait to see our dancers on stage, performing and having fun. None of us are perfect but we are all brilliant!

🧚 Why are tech rehearsals so important? 🧚

1️⃣ Perfect Timing: Timing is important in dance, and tech rehearsals ensure our dancers know when to enter, exit and sync with music & lights

2️⃣ Stage Familiarity: It's a chance to get comfortable on the stage, understand its dimensions, and adapt to a dancers new surroundings

3️⃣ Lighting: Tech rehearsals enable us to perfect the lighting design, ensuring every movement is highlighted and every emotion conveyed.

4️⃣ Soundscapes: It's when our dancers and crew work together to ensure the sound quality is right, so the audience can immerse themselves in the story.

Tap 2 Pointe is taking a well-deserved October break to recharge and refresh those good toes! ✨
