I am very used to working with students who- for whatever reason -are not reaching their potential in English. Often this kind of student comes with apathy or anxiety and/or low confidence and I'm well-versed with engaging with teenagers like this. I also work with high achievers who need an extra push to reach the top grades. My aim is to inspire some confidence and make the sessions fun along the way. I work using Google Classroom with my students and sign parents up as a teacher so everything we do is transparent and you can keep up with what we are studying and the homework I am setting. As an experienced Examiner and Consultant, I have exact techniques for each question in the Lang and Lit papers and have pre-written PowerPoints and exemplar papers that we can work from. In the holidays, I run extra group revision classes for my Year 10s and Year 11s including Walking Talking Mocks which my students get a discount to. Give me a shout if you'd like to know more.
