Touring Theatre In Education Company
Operating as usual
Photos from Wrenn's post
Growing up, school and the pressures of social media and peers can all feel overwhelming to teens - their mental health has never been more important. So just like all our shows open up conversations about strong and important issues that teens are facing in society, the best thing we can do is to encourage teens to open up and talk about their feelings.
We are all about keeping it real so this week has been stressful, COVID crept up on us again meaning we had to reschedule this weeks schools!😢 Logistically its been a bit painful but we are excited to get back on tour on Monday. 🚚💨We are glad our actors are recovering and feel lucky that we didn’t take too hard of a hit - like so many companies have done over the last 2 years.
Filming time 📽🙌🏻
Back to @theplacebedford to film another virtual educational show for @solomontheatrecompany. This time about knife crime and gangs… these shows are awesome and are so important to educate younger generations on what to do and what not to do in such situations.
Who’s still obsessed with this rap from Skin Deep? We are! 🙋🏻♀️
Still one of our fav shows to rehearse and perform about gang, violence and discrimination.👊🏼
Off on tour next week. 🚚💨

We'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has worked with Solomon this year. It's been another strange year but we are super excited for 2022 and so many great projects and shows to come.
🎁Have a well deserved rest and see you soon.
If you are 13-25 take part in the YoungMinds survey about young people’s mental health.
Here is the link to the survey: https://opinionpanel.decipherinc.com/survey/selfserve/53b/211118?list=3&cl=1&grp=20
Things need to change.
More young people are struggling than ever before. Waiting lists for support aren’t getting better. And the pressures put on young people from society are overwhelming. Business as usual isn’t working. It’s time we take action into our own hands.
Together with our friends wagamama, we are asking young people to take part in the biggest piece of research that we have ever done (link in the comments). To make things better for young people, we need to know what they’re struggling with. What they tell us will influence what we focus on over the next couple of years.
If you want to make sure no young person feels alone with their mental health as much as we do, share this post with the young people in your life. They must be 13-25 to take part.
P.S When they finish the survey, they will be entered into a draw to win a £10 @wagamama_uk gift voucher (giving up to 1,000 away) AND the chance to win wagamama for a full year! Terms and conditions apply.
Today, the Solomon Theatre Company are in performing and doing workshops with our Year 9s, 10s and 11s.
They are learning about a lot of important topics around consent and alcohol.
Last week was we've had the privilege of been out on tour to schools the past 3 years with our alcohol awareness show for key stage 3 students. 🚚💨

It’s national stress awareness day and it’s so important to take control of our own health. The empathises on this day is to be aware of the stresses in our lives so that we can change them. At Solomon we want to help students to be aware of the stresses in their lives, that’s why all our shows are thought provoking to open up the questions for students to shape and shift their future.

Solomon Theatre Company paid a visit to our school yesterday to perform 'The Power of Love' to our Year 10 students. They educated the students on cyber safety, exploitation and the importance of healthy relationships through the appropriately adapted production.
We would like to thank the actors from the Solomon Theatre company for displaying such an insightful performance to our students.
For young people social media is really important, this show explores the pressures for social media and the negative effects it can have on teenage wellbeing.
So great to be getting this show out there as the story is very current. Big shoutout to our fab collaborators on this show; Brooke and Holly at Hooked Theatre. 🙌
