This week 1M worked scientifically to sort everyday objects. The children sorted different items into material groups and discussed what was the same and different about them. They then investigated which materials sink or float. They made their predictions and then watched to see the results.

After the whole school assembly, Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their workshop with Punjabi Roots learning about the Punjabi drum. They followed this up with PHSE lessons about the benefits of living in such a diverse city.

The cold weather did not stop our cross country runners this evening working hard during after school club.

A fun-filled morning for Year 6 at the annual ‘Rewind to Christmas’ event at St Cuthberts.

Mr Lumb is excited to be hosting the Cross Country event on Wednesday after school.
Any child in years 3,4,5 & 6 can take part.
A number of schools will also be attending the event.
The first race will start at 3:45pm. Children will get changed after school at 3:15pm. Parents are welcome to gather on the field/playground from 3:15pm

Our lunch time tranquilly club continues to offer a structured and fun session for children to enjoy over the lunch time break.

Year 5 and 6 had a visit from the police to discuss the dangers and consequences of knife crime. The children were made aware of what constitutes as a weapon and the current legislation around knife crime.
