🏆 Staff Rounders Champions 🏆

This evening our Year 6 children gave the staff a close game but the experience saw the staff home with another victory.

The future is bright for girls sport at Blakehill. These girls competed today at the U11’s girls football competition. Our girls only lost 2 matches against 10 other schools.
A number of our children are in Year 4. Well done girls fantastic effort!

The Year 6 staff team would like to acknowledge the fantastic performance from our children tonight in their end of year production. They have worked so hard for the last 4 weeks to learn songs and memorise lines and their hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. We cannot speak highly enough of them and the pleasure we have had working with them all this year. They can now enjoy their final few days at primary before moving on to their next chapter ❤️

Every week the children in RD try to come to school every day to earn the attendance certificate in celebration assembly. Each certificate gives us £5 to spend on an end of year treat. This year we spent our money on ice-cream, sauce and sprinkles. We had our own ice-cream factory! Yum Yum

After a nervous 5 minutes falling behind 1-0 the staff & parents pulled it around and won the match. Thank you for all the parent support throughout the year.

In DT, 6N made Viking coil pots. We were very impressed with the way they adapted their plans as they made them. 'Learning on the job'!

It was prom night for Year 6. A fantastic and memorial evening to celebrate their time at Blakehill. Everyone looked amazing and we thank you all for making it such a special evening 💙

Another busy evening of sport at Blakehill.
Year 2s & Year 3s competed at Football against Low Ash Primary School.
Our football teams successfully won both matches against 2 talented Low Ash teams. Both games played in fantastic spirit.

Well done to Leeds Trinity University alumna Sarah Dickinson who won the ‘Primary or Early Years School Teacher of the Year’ category at the recent The Telegraph & Argus Education Awards 👏

Sarah graduated with a degree in Primary Education in 2010 and now works as a reception teacher at Blakehill Primary School in Bradford 👩‍🏫

Reminder about tomorrow’s cross country event. Any child in Years 2,3,4,5 & 6 can take part in the event. Would be lovely to see a lot of children take part in our final cross country event of the year.

Oh how we love Mondays at Blakehill! We are so lucky to have such amazing children at our school. Well done everyone 🥰

It is always wonderful to hear that our past pupils are doing so well.
Emily was a creative child and loved singing. She amazed us with a solo in our end of year production so it's no surprise at all to see her successfully following her dreams on stage. Well done Emily.

It was all fun and smiles in our lunchtime tranquility club today.

1W enjoyed a practical maths session outdoors to embed Less Than, Greater Than and Equal To when comparing two numbers up to 100.

HUGE well done to our U11’s girls cricketers who competed at the County Finals today.
The girls did not progress out of the group stages but such a fantastic achievement to reach the county finals. To be involved with the best 14 other schools across Yorkshire!
