Thank you to the school community for the generous harvest donations. We had a lovely Harvest Act of Worship this morning with each class contributing a song, prayer or presentation. All of the donations will be taken to Oldham Foodbank today to support our local community.
We are looking forward to welcoming children back into school on Wednesday 6th September. We have a new opening time of 8:40 with lessons starting at 8:45 and a new finishing time of 3:15.

Thank you to all parents who came to school to support their child this week for the sports days. The children had a great time, and the weather just about held off for us.
Year 5 really enjoyed observing the process of metamorphosis in school. Today was the day the final butterflies were released on to the flowers at the front of the school.

The Reception children really enjoyed their special outdoor music session and released the beautiful butterflies that they had watched changing from caterpillars.
The Nursery had a lovely outdoor music lesson today and at the end release their butterflies.
Year 4 experienced a wonderful afternoon at the Bridgewater hall playing, singing and dancing along with the Halle orchestra.
The Year 4 children really enjoyed spending time with the Year 4 children from Roundthorn during a linking project event at school on Wednesday. They participated really well during the Interfaith Forum.
You may already be aware that St. Thomas' Leesfield Church is 175 this summer and they are planning a huge weekend of celebrations!! Everyone is welcome :-)

Oldham primary school shows 'considerable improvement’ in new inspection An Oldham primary school has received a good inspection result from Ofsted nearly four years after it was told to improve.

The children who attend Forest School made lovely fairy houses in the woods this afternoon. They are hoping that the fairies and mice use them to find a cosy place to shelter from the rain.
What a lovely coronation celebration lunch we had in school today. Thank you to the school kitchen for the special cakes and bunting.
We have had so much excitement around school about our new arrivals this April. We have managed to hatch all of our ducks and chicks and we have one little duck who loves human contact and is super friendly. His name is midnight. More pictures to follow. The children in the Early Years are really loving learning about new life and how to care for the birds.
