In my new blog post I take a look at the considerations for outsourcing some (or all!) of your admin.

If I could only pick one it would be online booking and clinical software. This was a game changer for me. Have a word with about how this could transform your business, it way cheaper than you think, especially if you are relatively new but makes life so much easier and sets a professional tone from the start. No more 11pm WhatsApp asking if you can fit them in next Tuesday at 3.05pm!!!!

I’m now also super excited to be working with Amie on all my admin. Not just socials but everything!!!! Someone who can multitask all your admin is a really sound investment when the time is right.

This hasn’t happened overnight. It’s taken a lot time to get to the point where I can outsource as much as I do but honestly if you can afford to free up just a little bit of your time you feel unstoppable 💙

If you arm yourself with knowledge of how a complication occurs and how to manage it safely and effectively, the fear diminishes.

Having the back up of a complications group like .collaborative is the cherry on the cake.

If you’ve not done a training course with Gill then keep your eye out for her next dates. I try and do this at least once a year as she continually updates the information as new evidence presents itself.

Totally affordable and delivered without arrogance or pretentiousness despite who she is in the field of aesthetic medicine.

New blog!

After a difficult 9 months I’m dedicating the club to promoting work:life balance.

I’m not a KOL, or influencer, or Harley Street Location Doc, or someone that only trains with the “big names” or someone desperate to get to the top (no matter what the cost!)

I’m a regular clinician with a clinic next to the house, who enjoys aesthetics and sharing that knowledge with others, but also has 3 kids and a million other things to juggle. I know that so many happy injectors are in this boat and that we need to think about our own happy to be the happiest injector we can be.

Anyway…. The blog is in the website if you want a few tips and just to remind yourself that balance matters

I’m off for the next couple of weeks spending time with my family carrying our old traditions and making new ones. Gingerbread with my brother is something my kids have always done and this year on the first day of their Christmas holiday what did they want to do??? Yep… gingerbread with Uncle Will.

Life goes on but you’ll always remember the little things that matter # # #

I’m never afraid to draw on my face if it helps you to learn. Here tried to put in to practice everything I learned from and during a brilliant dissection event.

It was a new way to think about where to place our toxin in terms of quantity, position and depth. Hope I did it justice 😉

Meet Caroline 💙

Hi I’m Caroline, I’m an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist based in London & I’ll be heading up the Journal Club sessions for Happy Injectors Club

I’ve worked in the NHS for 10years across a couple of large hospital Trusts in the capital, and have a background in paediatrics & infectious diseases

I started in aesthetics in 2022 with a genuine interest in skin health (having suffered from severe acne until my late 20s and continue to struggle with eczema and dehydrated skin) but I also looked forward to the flexibility of working for myself and a new challenge- learning practical skills in an entirely new speciality.

Aesthetics is a really exciting field to get involved in at the moment, and I’m focused on running my clinic with professionalism and integrity. Treatments I offer are mainly aimed at skin rejuvenation & improving overall tone and texture.

A pharmacist will always be a little sceptical of a new medicine/device until they can check the scientific evidence behind its use- which is what I’m bringing to the table with Happy Injectors Club.
Existing evidence for a lot of the treatments we do is either scarce or has potential to hold bias, with a number of studies written by the companies that manufacture the drugs/devices.
I'll be supporting clinicians to cut through the noise, giving them the tools to appraise any existing evidence, and make decisions to treat their clients based on that where possible. I’ll also be supporting clinicians to write up their own cases, so we can add weight and balance to the evidence base.

Something I wish I’d known sooner: aesthetics isn’t a shallow business, nor is it about dramatically changing the way you look. It’s innovative, and when you find a support network that speaks your language can be really collaborative.
