Is your child struggling to learn multiplication eg times tables? Children often end up playing computer games with some multiplication questions thrown in as an incentive. On Maths is Fun there is a very simple game where you have to beat the clock with the goal of the game purely on learning math facts (no squishing bad guys or collecting tokens etc). In my opinion, it is a much more effective way to learn because you have to focus. Try it for yourself at the following link. It is an effective way to brush up on times tables number facts and is actually addictive. In this case, that is a good thing. Great practice for Year 6 as SATs are only a couple of months away now.

No SATs spelling test for KS1 students this year! This is due to the government accidently publishing the test on the internet.

The KS1 SATs spelling paper has been accidentally published online by the government. Pupils in KS1, due to sit the test this year, will no longer be required to take the spelling part of the test.
