Our learning question will infuse all our lessons through the term. Growing up is a process of change and by inviting students to pause and notice the changes within themselves, they are also noticing how their environment impact them. Teaching this awareness is just one way our students are .

Danish for "outdoor school" we aim to be outside several hours a day and have several fully outdoor days a year. Rain or shine, there's nothing like fresh air to engage the senses for learning.

Dania Scandinavian School has been around since 2013 offering children in North London the space to develop into confident learners. Former students have gone on to primary and secondary schools in London, Denmark and abroad.

Our small class sizes allow teachers to meet children exactly where they are, inviting them to be active participants in their learning from the start.

Celebrated before Lent with candy, fancy dress and a unlucky cat, Fastelavn is like a sweet Scandinavian mash-up between Halloween and Carnival.

Taste, Touch, Sight, Sound, Smell! We're infusing the senses into our learning this term.

Our senses play an important role in how we experience the world. By challenging them, kids become more aware of their sensations and how they can engage with them. It's one of the ways create hygge into our learning.

Every day we take the children outside.

By learning in an outdoor environment, we give children new opportunities to develop and learn in new ways.

Since moving to our new location, we're now lucky to have Highbury Fields just opposite the school.

This gives the children a great outdoor location to be able to spend time.

How do we monitor student progress at Dania?

At Dania, it's essential that our teachers get to know their students really well.

Knowing the individual helps to really personalise the learning for our students. And personalised learning leads to improved outcomes.

This isn't the type of learning often received in mainstream academic settings.
