Experiential opportunities for young people in arts management production and curating

NSH Arts offers young people – students or those recently starting their career as a curator, arts manager/producer – an opportunity to propose an arts event and, if successful, to make that event a reality. The whole process of organising and promoting the event would be carried out in a reflective manner so that the individual or group can learn about the skills that are being used and developed

Operating as usual

2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I

Naked:War draws a comparison between the raw emotions experienced during war with the sense of vulnerability we all feel when naked. The end of the 'Great' War lead into the 'Great' Depression. From hindsight, little was resolved by the end of hostilities - followed so soon as they were by World War II

Drawings and paintings inspired directly by events during World War I are shown opposite images of nakedness in varying states of vulnerability. No conclusion is reached - but a sense of unease and the futility of human conflict is raised
