Wide Horizons Woodland Centre

In 2017 the Woodlands Centre was visited by the RSPB Bexley Group who conducted a bird survey for us. Nicky Wilson and Donna Zimmer recorded a total of 13 bird species as well as butterflies and other animals. They also gave advice as to how we can encourage more birds to the Woodlands. We will be working with our visiting groups to put in place some of their recommendations such as low level feeders and will continue to observe any changes and look out for new bird species visiting the centre.

Enjoying the autumn sunshine in the woods yesterday with year 1 pupils from Charlton Manor Primary. They went for a walk in the woods, collected sycamore seeds and explored the woodland - working together and having fun.

Amazing volunteers from AB InBev building Raised Beds so that groups at the Woodland Centre can grow vegetables.
