Dance with RAKS’s annual children’s Navratri workshop in conjunction with Sarawati Academy of Indian Dance will be on 14th October in Southgate.
Tickets will be available from this weekend so hold the date and keep and eye on this page.

Here are some of the special moments from Dance with RAKS’s first showcase- Love to Dance 2018.
The title of the show I hope comes through-
I aim to create an environment where the students can build and grow a Love for Dance, where they can enjoy and progress in a non-pressured environment.
I am so so proud of each and every student for what they had achieved in their dancing and confidence this past year (and we have had a lot of fun).
Thanks again to all those that made the event a success and to the parents for the endless support.
Bookings and waiting lists for next term are being reviewed now so please get in touch if you are interested in the classes.

I am so so so proud of all the students who performed brilliantly and with confidence! The feedback has been great and I really appreciate all the lovely words from the parents and those who came to watch.

Thank you Bright Little Stars, Leapfrog and Teddys Nurseries for the opportunity to teach Bollywood dance and show the children a different and fun way of learning about rhythm and coordination. I thoroughly enjoyed the past 9 months and love the way the children proudly show me their peacocks and Namaste! I will miss you all!

It's been an amazing week!
I'm still on cloud nine after the successful navratri workshop at the weekend. More photos and videos to follow.
In the interim, having got a call for a casting as a result of Dance with RAKS, I'm pleased to say we were featured in Asian papers over the last week or so.
The Haria's certainly are living well and will be making a trip to Sainsbury's for our Diwali shopping!
Thank you to everyone who came and danced the afternoon away with us at our children's Navratri dance workshop.
We are very proud of the students who performed too. Watch out for the videos and photos.

We will
- teach some simple garba, raas and ramjanu steps designed specifically for children
- give the children the opportunity to do freestyle garba and raas with us and their families
- showcase some of the dances from the academies and
- all have a Bollywood boogie to finish!

Preparing for the new term..... Ruhi said "mummy sit down and let me dance!"

Reflecting back on last term..... here are some snippets, traditional and Bollywood- the end clip being a performance at a summer fete.

Our family dance for my sisters mehndi party- Simple, effective choreography involving 25 family members including children. Most importantly we had a lot of fun!

Time flies when you are having fun! Its been a year since I started teaching dance classes and I'm pleased to launch Dance with RAKS parties, filled with dance, games and creative activities, tailored to your child and group.

So proud of my group, done so well with their rhythm and movement in less than 1 term. Some of the children are as young as 4 but all confidently performed the routine together at our 2016 garba event. Well done to you all and thank you to the parents for all their support X
