Some lovely feedback after our Year 4's visit to Eltham Palace today. We are always so proud of our children, but especially so today! 😊.

Hello,
We were at Eltham Palace today and I believe your year 4 class were there also!
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for the encouragement and patience the class showed my toddler, Arlo. He kept talking about the “big kids gone back to school” after they left - he really enjoyed their company.
Their energy was unmatched whilst playing on the climbing frame and the practice performance they gave us from the aeroplane was 10/10 - I’m sure their parents will be incredibly proud at the show tomorrow.
They’re an absolute testament to their parents and of course your school. I hope we bump into them again at the palace, they certainly made my afternoon easier too haha!
Eithne and Arlo x

In our lovely Reception Hedgehog class we have been talking about why sleep is important to us. We spoke about how we feel when we haven’t had a good sleep. Our clever little Hedgehogs then helped Mrs Parsons put Rufus to bed. Rufus had a warm cup of milk. Then he had a warm bath, washed his face and brushed his teeth. Hedgehogs read him a bedtime story, sang him a song and gave him a hug before putting him to bed. Well done Reception what an awesome bedtime routine! 😴💙💛.

Our Year 4 Birch and Willow classes are having a wonderful day today at Eltham Palace, as part of their History topic. From the 14th to the 16th century Eltham Palace was an important royal palace, where monarchs often stayed and hunted in the surrounding parks and Henry VIII spent much of his boyhood there. After centuries of neglect, Eltham was leased to Stephen and Virginia Courtauld in 1933, who built an up-to-the-minute house here that incorporated the great hall. The result was a masterpiece of 20th-century design and our children are having a fantastic visit! Chatsworth Schools Talk Education
