I feel so incredibly lucky, grateful & proud that over this last year (AMTs 1st year in business) I have been able to teach & support so many couples through their pregnancy, birth & postpartum journey 🥰

I can honestly say it's been the most amazing & rewarding year, building new relationships with all my AMT couples & slowly building the business & brand. But.. it's also been incredibly challenging & draining.

So much time, hard work, effort & energy has gone into making AMT as special as it is!

Sooo much technology (which I'm very slowly getting the hang of now 🙈), the stresses of social media and bloody algorithms 😫, lots of sleepless nights worrying and long 7 day working weeks (I can't switch off from AMT because annoyingly for me I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to work, but at least me being a perfectionist is good for my clients right? 🤷)

I've absolutely poured my heart & soul into AMT ensuring I'm able to give the best possible service for all expectant parents which they so desperately NEED & DESERVE!

So it's with a big happy smile on my face to say that I'm so relieved that all my hard work has clearly paid off, as everyone that has done my AMT Antenatal Course has given me nothing but praise and positivity 🙌

Colostrum Harvesting ✨

Lyndsey reached out to me yesterday to say that she was struggling to hand express and was starting to feel anxious, stressed & deflated thinking that she didn't have any colostrum and baby will soon be arriving.

I went over to help Lyndsey hand express today and seeing Lyndsey's elation and happiness when in fact she has LOADS of colostrum has made my entire week! It's the best feeling ever to be able to help and support expectant parents and help them gain their confidence 🥰

Sometimes all it can be is that you're hand expressing technique might need to be altered a tad and what better way than getting support from someone that does it on a daily basis so thanks for reaching out lyndsey 😁

So glad I could help, it felt like Christmas day we were both so happy! Wahooooooo 🥳🙌💪💃🎉

Huge huge congratulations to Kate & Cam! Apologies for the soppiness that's about to come... 🙈

I don't have the words to say just how proud I am of these guys.. Kate has shown so much resilience, strength & self discipline it's absolutely unreal!

I had the honour of being able to sit with these guys whilst in labour too and it was simply breathtaking to witness! Kate was so calm, relaxed and in control and Cam was so supportive and reassuring, they were so in sinc with each other. Never have I ever seen such a Zen labour & birth ❤️

This being said even though as a Midwife this was the most beautiful physiological textbook labour & birth, Cam expressed how emotionally & mentally draining he found the experience & expressed how difficult it is seeing a loved one go through the labour & birth process. I would never have guessed this at the time, Cam held it all together in order to support Kate the best he could- AMAZING.

YOU TWO ARE BLOODY ROCKSTARS! 👏

And I'm so made up for you both ❤️

Ghislaine's positive thoughts following our 1:1 antenatal education course over the last few months 🥳

I'm so excited to hear all about their experience this time around, I know with full confidence that both Ghislaine & Sion are absolutely going to smash it!! 🙌

Even though they have one beautiful daughter already & have experienced pregnancy & labour In the past, having such high quality antenatal education from a qualified & experienced Midwife makes such a huge huge difference!! Unfortunately due to the current UK Maternity Crisis the NHS is stretched and is unable to give you all the education & support that you desperately need- hence why I started A Midwifes Touch in May 2022 as it's so drastically important that you guys feel informed, empowered, confident & prepared for what's to come & your journey ahead 🥰

We've worked hard together to ensure Ghislaine & Sion can have a more positive experience this time around. And I must say... Ghislaine's grit, fire & determination is truly powerful, impressive & admirable! 🔥
