October 10th is World Mental Day, the purpose of this day is to raise awareness of mental health issues that we may face or be facing in our lives, what we can do to look after our own mental health and how we can recognise mental health issues in others and offer help and support.

👏 The welfare of caught up in the channel travel delays is of national importance.

The Road Haulage Association is calling for decisive action to create a permanent contingency site for handling lorries for use when there is disruption crossing the channel.

queues are miserable experience for lorry drivers, our executive director, Rod McKenzie told BBC News Channel. We're calling for improved contingency arrangements so have access to toilets, washing facilities and refreshments when there are delays
