Year 3 had a wonderful trip to Fishbournr Roman Palace last week. What an opportunity to get up close and personal to Roman artefacts.
*scam alert* please note that there is an incorrect advert on social media for a spring craft fair at our school. This is a scam, it is not true. Do not send any money to anyone to reserve a table.
Our Year 1 children were very excited this morning to see that the Gingerbread man has returned ( after running away as fast as he could) . He had brought back some interesting finds from his travels. We later had a visitor who explained a little more about the golden egg and the beanstalk.
Here is our amazing choir fresh from their success at the O2 on Friday. The rest of the school loved hearing them sing in assembly today.
Our children’s view at the O2. Everyone in the white t-shirts are part of the choir. Awe inspiring!
Our choir have made it to London. 33 excited children ready for the Young Voices concert at the O2.
Year 4 children recently took part in a writing competition organised by ‘Young Writers’. They were invited to write a short story all about ‘crazy creatures’. Many of the stories have been chosen to be included in a book which is to be published in the spring. What an incredible opportunity. All children received a congratulatory certificate. The photo shows just a handful of our soon-to-be-published writers.
The children in Year 5 have been inspired by their new topic about The Ancient Greeks that they have painted these beautiful images of the architecture.
Our choir have enjoyed a visit to ‘The Laurels’ day centre in Rustington to sing a selection of Christmas songs.
Our next PTA event is new this year! We shall be holding a craft fair on Sat 25th Nov from 10am - 1pm. A perfect chance to buy beautiful hand crafted gifts for Christmas. Stalls are now sold out which means plenty of wonderful gifts to choose from.
What a fabulous evening! Thank you to all who came to our fireworks event.
We are glad to say that our fireworks event will go ahead tomorrow. Such an event wouldn’t be able to happen without the support of local companies. Our thanks to Store Property, Euphoria Kitchens and Citrine Rose for sponsoring the fireworks and to The Lions Club for buying 2 new hot water urns for to be able to serve hot drinks.
You can’t help but smile when you hear children from Early Years say “best day at school ever!”.
What a bountiful harvest! Our families have been so generous, once again, with their donations this year. The food pantry, run by volunteers from St Peter & St Paul Church, Rustington are extremely grateful for such a wonderful array of food. Thank you to all who sent food in.
As part of their work on the Space Race and the 1960s and 1970s, year five had a dress-up day focusing on what life was like during this period. Throughout the day, they enjoyed listening to music; learning about changes in fashion, education, technology, transport and television; learning 1960s/70s dances; handling artefacts and interviewing those who lived through this period of cultural change.

Year 2 had a fantastic walk to the beach only to find a whole load of treasure! Lots of great ideas about how it came to be there. The weather was perfect and the children were enthralled!
Our amazing PTA work hard all year organising events and our generous families come along and spend good money at them. Thanks to everyone, the PTA have been able to find a replacement canopy for our quiet area. It’s been a few years coming but the wait was worth it.
Thank you to author for visiting Year Five today. The children loved the opportunity to meet the author of their current guided reading book, Eternal Seas, and had lots of wonderful questions. 📚
