Just leaving this one here.....
So dinner tonight steamed salmon dressed in lemon and dill with couscous and salad....
Part of the reason why I am now over 30lb down in weight from last year (more than 2 stone!) And I am at an 8 inch loss in body composition all over since 1st April this year.
The other reason is Tom Davenport my PT...has trained me since last year. Always pushing what I think are my limitations...then he helps me find I have more to give...and absolutely ruins me every session 😂 Thank you!
I am so proud of myself...I never thought I would get to this...still some to go but I am smashing it! BOOM 💥

I have been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and a personal trainer for 10 years. I have had articles in fitness magazines and make sure I train regularly and attend as many fitness courses as possible to keep myself up to date with the constant

I specialise in personal training, fitness classes, general fitness, toning, fat loss, bodybuilding (hypertrophy), endurance events and fighter conditioning. I also specialise in small group sessions, self defence, boxing pad work and fitness testing at all levels.

Here’s a quick shoutout to my lovely client Laura who has left me and moved to new pastures.

But equipped with new knowledge, eating strategies, exercise help she will be set to get back into the gym once she has settled at home.

Yeah, but I’ve got one of dem slow metabolismss.. I’ll go to the Drs and get some shakes..

Is that the reason though?

Or are you looking for an excuse because you have the best stocked crisps and sweet cupboard..

Or maybe you may have 2 glasses of wine 3/4 times a night you forget about when asked why you’re not losing bodyfat.

For sure, over time there will be slight changes in resting metabolic rate..

But your daily energy expenditure can be changed.

Do you find yourself largely inactive and sedentary through your day to day life?

Rather than sit back and make an excuse, be proactive and take ownership of your daily expenditure & what you put in your mouth.

Nobody else can get your daily steps in for you, nobody else can train for you..

If you've been trying to shift some weight and things just aren't moving, check to see if you are both accurately and consistently tracking ALL of the calories you consume (ALL OF THEM)....it's easy to forget the bag of wotsits you nailed in your afternoon meeting....if you spend time HONESTLY tracking your caloric intake🧐 (more than 3 days ideally....try weeks) and things still don't move....then you're more than likely eating too much and moving too little.

99/100 people are physically able enough to take control over the outcome and make a positive change....up to you though.....suppose it's easier to binge watch on Netflix with crisp butties and blame a ‘slow metabolism’ instead hey!

Keep the fundamentals in place and ensure it correlates with your goal.

Progression is never linear 📈 but be patient.

The execution of a plan is far more important than trying to find the perfect one.

IF your adherence starts to waver or progression begins to stall, Reassess, re-evaluate and train with intensity.

Pssst... IF your TRAINER who you pay good 💰 to be coached doesn’t have a plan on them In person during the session, ask you about the session post training and give you homework... you’re not with a decent Trainer... sorry 👀

Patience......
:
It’s our nature to want the results of our efforts, well, um, yesterday.

So when I meet business owners/ clients who feel like it’s not happening fast enough, I look them in the eye and say…

“Just. Keep. Going…”

“It’s on its way.

“Stay in positive expectation!”

“The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”

Pray (meaning, stay focused on the positive outcome you want) and move your feet (take consistent action).”

That’s how it will manifest. But, if you grow impatient, lose faith, and stop moving forward because you’re not seeing the results quickly enough, then the fruit won’t ever arrive.
