Join us at Cedars Upper School Library on 11 July, between 11.30am and 1.30pm for a cup of tea or coffee and to find out more about exploitation of children, and how to keep your child safe.
Disturbingly young children are being manipulated to carry weapons and carry out crime, and being drawn into gang culture at a very young age. Grooming can happen online and in person.
Family is the first and best line of defence against these criminals.
We will have experts from Bedfordshire Police, Central Bedfordshire Council’s Child Exploitation & Missing Coordinator and Safer Communities Team, Link2Change, and You Turn Futures available for you to talk to around a range of subjects including knife crime, exposure to drugs and alcohol, exploitation, grooming, online crime and how children get coerced into committing crimes.
The Community Safety Partnership, Safer Central, would like to hear your views on how safe you feel in Leighton Buzzard. You can help shape the work of Safer Central by sharing your views and completing the Safer Central Community Survey. We know that no one knows better what is happening locally, and with the information you can provide we can work together to make a difference, creating a safer environment for everyone.
