Yay, we haven't had a school disco in a while, hope your kids will all come along and have a fun evening x
We will be in the playground on Friday 27/5 at school drop off if you have any more uniforms to hand in, please ensure it is clean and of a decent quality for others to use. We also need hangers if you have any for kids clothing. We will then replenish the rail for bringing out. What a success Friday was, hopefully many found it useful?
We are planning to have the rail out today for school collection and on Monday am, so please come have a look
Our rail is coming along nicely, all clean and good Condition. We will let you know when we put the rail out please help with this initiative and join in.
We are gathering good quality, clean uniforms, shoes and bags for our eco, recycling project. Please, please please donate and take! DON'T BE SHY, YOU ARE HELPING TO SAVE THE WORLD BY RECYCLING. We will be collecting over next few weeks and then the rail will be out for all to help themselves, we will have a donation bucket if you would like (you don't need too). We are also hoping to get the rag bags up and running to help raise money. Our kids are always growing so why not grab a bargain, we all need a little help at this time x
We forgot the before picture! But it looks so much tidier with a couple of hours hard work. Thank you so much to Fiona, Gordon, Jennifer, Lindsay & Mary for helping first thing this morning, looks great!
Remember tomorrow morning in the playground
Please share if possible ....
Are you free on monday 14th march at school drop off, 9am? Would you like to help clear the fenced area in the playground? Bring garden gloves and if you have shovels, brushes, rubble bags bring them along with you. We will organise another date if required. See you there
Scottish Online Lessons is a great resource that helps students with literacy and numeracy.

The lessons are taught and narrated by teachers and cover the Scottish curriculum from P1 to S5. There are also free assessments on the website so children can test where they are at in their learning journey.

Lessons and assessments can be accessed any time, so it allows children to learn at their own pace. The lessons are also accessible to children with dyslexia or dyscalculia.

The monthly subscription is just £5 per month and covers all lessons P1-P7, which is just a fraction of what parents would pay for a tutor.

This is a particularly beneficial service for students transitioning from Primary to Secondary, and those who require some extra help with their learning.

You can see the lessons for FREE through the 1-day free trial here: https://portal.scottishonlinelessons.com/plans/signup/

You can also contact us through the page: https://www.facebook.com/scottishonlinelessons

Fill | School Leadership Groups 10/10/2022

Fill | School Leadership Groups

Every Wednesday afternoon each pupil and member of staff are involved in a leadership group.

The aim of these groups are to give pupils a clear voice and role in school improvement, as well as building links to collaborate with the community and wider world more deeply on new shared goals.

We would like to invite parents and members of the community to join these groups and help us improve the school for all of the Kilmaurs community.

We meet in school on a Wednesday afternoon between 1:15 and 2:15pm.

Please click on the link below if you would like to participate:

📣 EAC SCHOOL CLOTHING GRANTS

Following contact from a concerned constituent, I contacted East Ayrshire Council seeking a change to eligibility rules which would bring East Ayrshire into line with other nearby authorities. A review of the scheme has since been carried out by council officials and the income thresholds for those on qualifying benefits have been increased.

Parents and guardians on Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit and with an annual income of less than £17,005 now qualify for the school clothing grant of £120 per child attending primary school or £150 per child attending secondary school raising the threshold from the previous limit of £15,276.

‼️IF YOU PREVIOUSLY APPLIED AND WERE REFUSED DUE TO THRESHOLD YOU NEED NOT REAPPLY AS EAC ARE DOING AUTOMATIC RECALCULATION ‼️

🌈 Fantastic result! 🌈

You can check eligibility and apply here 👇
