Hard luck boys
The Jimmy boys sadly went out of the Ayrshire cup losing 6-2 to Onthank battling both a very good team and the weather. Special mention to Dylan Hurford who made some outstanding saves, Karsyn Baird who grabbed a first half goal and Jack McCabe who worked tirelessly and scored a well taken penalty. Lots of lessons learned and its onwards to the next competition.
Fantastic performance by Team Silverwood in the Rotary Quiz this evening. The team comprising of Angel Birring, Dylan Hurford, Lucy Nesbit & Ross Nicol finished in 2nd Place, missing out on top spot by one point!! We are extremely proud of your efforts, well done!!
Primaries 6 & 7 can wear tartan tomorrow for their Burns Supper, if they have any.
On Friday the whole school will be celebrating with a Scottish Afternoon and everyone can wear tartan if they have it. π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

Great result, well done lads πβ½οΈβ½οΈ
Great first official match for the Jimmy football team beating Largs Primary 7-4 in the first round of the McWilliam Cup. The boys were up 4-0 at half time and although Largs pulled 3 back the boys stayed calm and saw out the victory with singles from Taylor and Jack, a double from Reece and a Hat-Trick from Kade Carlin!
East Ayrshire Council anticipate that all educational establishments will re-open on Friday 19 January 2018.
Multi-agency efforts are being made today to ensure safe access to, and around, educational sites in readiness for potential opening.
In the light of current weather forecasts that may bring more snow, each individual establishment will undertake a risk assessment very early on Friday morning.
Any schools which require to remain closed will be featured on the councilβs website, social media and on local radio.
