Just a reminder about the reunion garden party for pupils and staff who were with us in the 1980s which will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 7th May at Pennthorpe. It has been really exciting to hear from a number of you who are able to join us - we very much look forward to seeing you on the day. If you havent yet replied please email [email protected] to let me know if you are able to be there, and do please share this information with any ex Pennthorpe pupils and staff who you are still in contact with. We would love to see as many of you as possible, and you are most welcome to bring your families with you.

Dear Pennthorpe Alumni and former staff
1980s Reunion Garden Party
We would like to invite all Pennthorpe pupils who left us in the 1980s, or who were with us for part of the 1980s, to join us for a reunion garden party on Sunday 7th May 2017 from 2pm – 6pm at Pennthorpe. Weather permitting, there will be Pimms on the terrace and live music from ex Pennthorpe pupils and staff. There will also be tours of the school for those of you who would like to have a look at your old dormitories! If you were a member of staff during the 1980s, we would love you to join us for the afternoon as well.
Please do pass this information on to any other former pupils or staff who you are still in touch with who might be interested in coming. If you would like to join us, please email my PA Fiona Long on [email protected] so that we have an idea of numbers and also so that we can send you updates on the arrangements for the day.
If you have any photographs, school ties, Penmans or any other memorabilia from your time at Pennthorpe, we would love to see them. If you are able to email scanned photographs to Mrs Long at [email protected], we will print them out to make a display on the day which hopefully will jog some memories! Any information you can give us on the photographs you send (names of people, year, title of play you were in etc) would be really helpful.
If you are in touch with other pupils who were with you at Pennthorpe, whenever you were with us, please ask them to like the alumni page for further updates as we hope to make these reunions an annual event for different age groups.
We look forward to meeting you in May.

Headmaster

We are excited to share with you the first of our alumni newsletters – an opportunity to hear from former Pennthorpe pupils. We were delighted to welcome some of our ‘old boys’ last summer who left us back in the 1960s – they were all full of memories of their time here, many of which are included here. We also have news of much more recent leavers, so have a look through to see if you recognise any names!
If you have any stories to share, or would like to let us know what you have done since leaving Pennthorpe, we would love to hear from you. You can either use this page or you can email me at [email protected] and I will include you in our next edition – we are hoping this will be an annual publication, and we would be delighted to hear from you in any case! If you have any photographs from your time at Pennthorpe, we would love to see them, along with any current photos of you and your families if you don’t mind sharing them. Please scan these through to me at the above email address rather than send your precious originals, including names if you have them for anyone in the photo, and dates.
We look forward to hearing from you – do spread the word if you are in touch with any of your old classmates and ask them to ‘like’ the Pennthorpe School Alumni Association page, or share a link to the page with them.
