This intensive yet interactive one-day training course will teach you essential project management techniques and is intended to familiarise you with common terms and tools so that you can manage your projects more effectively.

Is this course right for you?
Anyone involved with business or community projects, but with little or no knowledge of project management and needs to acquire a basic understanding of the tools and techniques to help them in their role.
What will you learn?
Recognise when a project management approach is necessary.
Be able to identify, explain and use appropriate techniques and tools for different stages in the cycle to ensure effective project implementation management.
Confidently identify and manage risks and changes.
Know how to complete projects in successful and controlled manner.

What to expect on the day?
The course runs from 09.00am through to 4.30pm. In line with adult learning principles, you will learn in a relaxed, and participatory environment. We make maximum use of plenary sessions. A specialist consultant will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome. Participants will be facilitated to develop an action plan to enable them to commit to actions that they would implement upon return to their respective workstations, based on knowledge and skills gathered from each course.
