🍪You Will need:
150g salted butter, softened
80g light brown muscovado sugar
80g granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
225g plain flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
¼ tsp salt
200g plain chocolate chips or chunks

🧑‍🍳STEP 1
Heat the oven to 190C/fan170C/gas 5 and line two baking sheets with non-stick baking paper.

Put 150g softened salted butter, 80g light brown muscovado sugar and 80g granulated sugar into a bowl and beat until creamy.

Beat in 2 tsp vanilla extract and 1 large egg.

Sift 225g plain flour, ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda and ¼ tsp salt into the bowl and mix it in with a wooden spoon.

Add 200g plain chocolate chips or chunks and stir well.

Use a teaspoon to make small scoops of the mixture, spacing them well apart on the baking trays. This mixture should make about 30 cookies.

Bake for 8–10 mins until they are light brown on the edges and still slightly soft in the centre if you press them.

Leave on the tray for a couple of mins to set and then lift onto a cooling rack.

✂️Get crafty and make your own bunting with the following steps:

Step 1: Cut out a triangle template from the tracing paper; the base should be approximately 16cm and the sides 20cm.

Step 2: Pin the template to a piece of fabric folded in half, so you can cut two layers in one go and cut out the shape.

Step 3: With the fabric pieces right side together, machine stitch the two longest sides.

Step 4: Turn the fabric right side out and gently push the tip of the triangle out with a knitting needle or chopstick to make a sharp point.

Step 5: Iron flat.

Step 6: Repeat this process with as many triangles as you want to make.

Step 7: Line up the triangles on the bias tape in the pattern combination you want.

Step 8: Pin each one to the tape, then fold the tape over the raw edge of the triangle and pin again.

Step 9: Sew along the top of the tape to hold all the individual triangles in place.

What presents are you asking for this year?🎅

Did you know? 👀
❄️A snowflake begins to form when an extremely cold-water droplet freezes onto a pollen or dust particle in the sky. 🌨️If crystals stick together to become snowflakes, they'll become heavy enough to fall to the ground.⛄

🎄Time to get those lights out and start showing your festive spirit.🎄

Get your family together and see their creativity with decorating.👨‍👩‍👦

😊What time do you start putting your decorations up?

🎅Welcome to the 24 days of the Kipmas advent calendar!🎅

We are counting down the days to Christmas with our very own advent calendar.📆

What could be behind tomorrow’s door? 👀

Chocolate🍫 is made from the seed of a fruit tree called Theobroma cacao🌴 which roughly translates to “food of the gods”, which is quite a fitting name 😋. It takes approximately 400 cocoa beans to make one pound of chocolate 😱. Each tree produces an average of 2,500 cacao beans per year. Wow!
