Due to expanding operations with Paratus we have taken the decision to only run four Door Supervision courses per year. So the downside is they wont be as frequent, but the upside is that the four courses will be particularly large! Our next course will be the 19th 20th 26th 27th of March, essentially the last two weekends of the month. We will also be looking to recruit directly from the course for all of our ad hoc and permanent work we have available in 2016 :) Course cost is £190.00 includes all the materials and quality training :)

Paratus CPD (PCPD) Explained... We have decided to formalise Continual Professional Development for our Paratus staff members. To that end we are introducing CPD "Points" which enables team members to continually develop/refresh their skills/knowledge through a point system. Fairly straightforward 1 PCPD point=1 training hour. TrainForward will offer PCPD days regularly and you will be able to now gain points for each additional hour of training you put into your professional development. So whenever you see PCPD, on any Facebook status updates, you know we are offering the opportunity. CPD with us is free of charge of course :) On successful completion of 50/100/150 hours you will receive a certificate Bronze/Silver/Gold respectively. Let me know what you think team P ??? :)

It will cover the follow areas:

Recap of understanding the term ‘Reasonable Force’ as it relates to Self Defence
Understand our natural flinch response to a sudden ambush attack and how to convert that response into defensive and protective choices
Understand the Survive, Reversal and engage stages when defending against a physical assault
Understand the common attacks used on the street
Demonstrate non violent body positions that prepare us to defend against violent assaults
Demonstrate the ability to perform non telegraphic strikes using elbows, open hands, forearms and knees
Demonstrate the ability to use compressed and extended frames to survive the initial stages of an physical attack
Demonstrate the ability to disengage from restricted positions including – Bear Hugs, strangles, wall pins, head locks etc...
Demonstrate the ability to perform basic weapon protection skills against knives and fi****ms (this is just a introduction)
Take part in dynamic scenario training session.

Last shout out for our Award in Door Supervision Level 2 which commences this Saturday. Four day course running over two weekends. Course cost £220 which includes two quality handbooks, all examination costs and certification with BIIAB and MAYBO (for physical Intervention) Event season is almost here!!!

We are running a combined FPOS(i) and MIRA course very soon. If you already hold FPOS(i) then you would only need to attend the MIRA section. Looking forward to rolling this qualification out. CCTV PSS this weekend, got quite a few spaces remaining and would very much like to get them filled. The cost of the course will soon be going up in line with our recent price review, so this will be the last time that we will be able to offer the course at £175 great qual. to enhance employment chances, and if you are already a licence holder the cost of the badge is only £110. AND!! You will get to use our new CCTV control suite (which actually hasn't been built yet, but I promise it will be ready in time !!)
