Hello! Finally back on my feet and full on project development continues. Thank you so much for all your continued support and good wishes. Currently working on new projects, re-visiting old, and continuing to support activities in The Markham Hall. Thank you Awards for All for helping fund our new tables.
Great to see that David Whitworth and friends - "The Back Row" are offering a splendid evening of first class vocal entertainment this weekend both at the Grimsby Minster and the Markham Hall. Do support this young and fantastic up and coming group.

Snake Davis and the Steve Walker Big Swing Band 24.10.15

Cool, hip and funky!! Steve Walker and the fabulous Big Swing Band explored new territory. This wasn't an evening of Miller etc. Or indeed a dance. Instead a wonderful refreshing reminder of how extensive a big band repertoire actually is. Whilst never forgetting the 40s sound, the Steve Walker Big Swing Band explored a whole host of unexpected popular delights. Film score, Nestico, modern pop, modern band arrangements, as well as 60s swing. And there was more. Versatility at its best.
As for Snake! He can swing, he can jazz, he does pop, and funk! All of which quite simply wows an audience with an awesome coolness and quiet!
Thank You guys for embracing the opportunity to offer a new and funky concert programme. Great night here in central Grimsby.

Canadian born Piero now lives in England. A phenomenally gifted musician he has been a major figure on the Toronto music scene as music director, keyboardist, saxophonist, accordionist and arranger in many jazz and R&B bands. He has played with and backed a diverse range of musicians that include Digby Fairweather, Jim Mullen, Bruce Adams, Alan Barnes, The Drifters and 5th Dimension and has opened for James Brown.
"Piero Tucci is a jazzer's dream, as unpretentiously skillful on keys as he is on sax." Sandman magazine.

"Effortless, passionate and captivating".....One look at the Vimala Rowe website confirms exactly what you are to expect. But there is one word missing.... "Warmth". And warmth just oozes from Vimala the singer and Vimala the person. Vimala sings with a seductive passionate empathy, with an equally unbelievable ease. The artistic physical hand gestures just add to the musicality. This was Jazz fit for any city venue!!

Mr John Etheridge! What a top guy, and such a brilliant guitarist. Great sound, great virtuoso skills and a real cool dude!!
One of those musicians that can, quite simply, communicate their utter passion and devotion to music and musical exploration. A privilege to welcome John to the Markham Hall.

Just to let you know that tickets for the John Etheridge/Vimala Rowe event Sat 25 July will be at Cleethorpes Tourist Information Centre, Cleethorpes Library tomorrow.

Please be aware that tickets may be paid for over the phone by card to be collected on the door at the gig. Although a trip to Cleethorpes and a walk along the prom is also a good move!!!!
