It's important to show interest in your child's life and the things important to them. It helps them value who they are and makes it easier for you to spot problems and support them.

This Christmas, homes will be filled with light-up decorations, festive tea lights, singing Santas and flashing Christmas wands. But these – and many cheap toys – are powered by button batteries that can badly hurt or kill a child if swallowed.
That’s why it’s so important if you buy button battery powered items that you check the battery compartment is secured with a screw or similar fastener to prevent children gaining access.
Learn more about button battery safety: https://capt.org.uk/button-battery-safety/

This week our water pipes have burst due to the freezing temperatures, leaving us with no toilets or staff facilities.
We would like to thank Mark & Nicky from Twist & Flip Gymnastics Academy Ltd for their recent donation of water to assist our team, and Paul from Lindum Refridgeration for his donation which will go towards repairs.

Sorry had to share this from another Childminder
PROUD TO BE A CHILDMINDER!
Snotty noses, Runny bums
Doting dads, caring mums
Ofsted visits, rainy days
Learning lots as baby plays
coughs and colds, sickness bugs
Cheeky smiles, Lots of hugs
Screaming babies, terrible twos
Drawing, painting, stick and glues
Learning journeys, early years
texting parents to ease their fears
Years of closeness, they then move on
Just our memories now they're gone
Against all the rules to keep any snaps
Of the children that sat on our laps
Sometimes we watch them as they grow
but some we never see once they go
childminding's easy I hear from some
A day watching tv sat on their bum
I find it quite funny, if only they knew
The love and devotion and hard work we do

Did you know ... road users must now give way to pedestrians who are waiting to cross a road at a junction?
The Highway Code has been updated. Now drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders now need to give way to pedestrians waiting to cross a road at a junction into which or from which you are turning.
Let’s keep everyone safe on the roads - read the changes: http://ow.ly/BGk550HGHmR

Due to our ground works project running over on time and budget we have made the difficult decision to remain shut to the general public over February half term.
We are however, looking into alternatives options on opening some aspects of the farm. We will post an update as soon as we can.
We are working hard to expedite this project and if there are any landscapers or people with mini diggers with some time available to help us we would be truly grateful.

If you're heading outdoors this weekend, please respect the environment.
When people leave litter, it makes the place look a mess and it harms wildlife. If it’s left on the beach, it can wash into the sea where it poses a danger to fish and other marine animals.
Don’t destroy what you’ve come to enjoy.
Put your litter in a bin or take it home with you ♻️
