For those who were asking about the tender process for the Gas Safe Register, we've had this announcement from the HSE:

“HSE intends to announce the preferred bidder on 11 Sept 2018, subject the outcome of the approvals process.

"A Sep announcement has always been in our schedule, as during Jul/ Aug we are finalising the evaluation process and obtaining approvals.”
