This weeks newsletter includes a summary of the Enrichment Week activities, Flegg in the community, some impressive student achievements and important information about next week.http://www.fleggormistonacademy.co.uk/docs/newsletters/Principals_Newsletter_15_7_22.pdf

(Last day of term is Thur 20th July)

15/07/2022

Next week, the temperatures are predicted to soar. The DfE has recommended that schools stay open, but we are taking some precautionary measures to ensure that our students stay safe. This includes moving PE lessons indoors and adapting our uniform requirements. Students should come to school with sun cream, a sun hat and a refillable water bottle.

For the whole of next week (so until the end of term), students will be able to come to school in a version of our uniform to help them feel cooler and more comfortable. This isn’t compulsory – students can continue to wear normal uniform if they wish.

Guidelines for adapted uniform

* PE top or School shirt
* School skirt, school trousers or shorts only – shorts can be any colour but must have legs in them. No cycling shorts or skin-tight material. No short shorts or high cut shorts. No ripped denim. No slogans. No PE skorts. No tracksuit bottoms.
* Trainers/canvas shoes or school shoes. No flipflops or sandals.
* Blazers and ties do not need to be worn
* The usual rules around make-up, jewellery and hair colour apply

We had an amazing second day at the Martham Carnival and loved taking part in the parade - we managed to hand out 400 balloons on route and had lots of fun along the way!
A huge thank you to Mr Moore & Mr Moore senior for helping to build our float and to the many staff who gave up their weekend to help man the stall and most importantly our awesome students who also gave up their weekend to run the stall and take part in the parade - we are extremely proud of each of you.
We especially enjoyed speaking to the many ex students who came to see us on the stall and finding out about your plans and achievements - we continue to be proud of you and wish you well in your future adventures.
If you took any photos of us during the parade please do share them with us.
