Good advice for all parents re toilet training.
There is no set age for when to stop using nappies, but children usually show signs they are ready to use a toilet or a potty between 18 months and 3 years.
Signs that your child may be ready:
🚽Your child notices when they are doing a wee or poo, or when they think they need the toilet.
🚽If they are able to sit down on a toilet or potty and get back up again.
🚽You notice that your child stays dry for 1-2 hours or longer.
Remember all children are different in learning this new skill, so be patient. Your child may be really quick to learn or take a little longer. This is normal.

Are you a working parent of 3 and 4 year old's and looking for childcare from September 2021?
Working parents of 3 and 4-year-olds may be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare and early education per week, for 38 weeks of the year if certain criteria is met. This is known as the Extended Offer.
How do I apply?
You need to apply for the 30 hours via the Childcare Choices website and receive a 30 hours code. If you do not have access to the internet, you can call the HMRC Childcare Service helpline on 0300 123 4097.
You can apply for the 30 hours up to 16 weeks before your child becomes eligible.
If you do not apply before the start of term you want to start claiming the 30 hours, you will not be able to receive the funded hours that term. It is important that you apply in advance to ensure you get your entitlement
To keep your 30 hours funded childcare, you need to reconfirm you are eligible every 3 months, from your account. You will be reminded 4 weeks before the deadline.
If you have any further questions about 30 hours funded childcare, contact Norfolk Family Information Service http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/children-and-families/childcare-and-early-learning/family-information-service
or visit Childcare Choices website https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

“ Look at the differences between a typical preschool child’s hand (left) and a typical 7 year old hand (right). Want to know why a preschool aged child isn’t able to write yet? This is why! Their hands are still developing and are not fully formed. So what should they be doing to support this? PLAY!! Playdough, colouring, cutting, gluing, playing outside, digging in dirt, sensory play, dress up play, science experiments, beading, puzzles, throwing balls, etc.
.
All of these things help their hands develop. When they are physically ready to write, they will! No need to rush them, they will show you when they are ready.” ❤️
