Here is one of our trainee teachers on her first school trip! Supporting students in experiencing The Woman in Black and smashing her TS8 evidence and having so much fun whilst doing it. We want to take this opportunity to wish our family of trainees a very Merry Christmas 🎄

What a huge support network our trainees have between them - the only way to end your last training day before Christmas is doing it properly with a Secret Santa!

Because it’s Christmas, but really, because we are so incredibly proud of our trainee cohort - we got them CAKES! And OAKS merch of course. I couldn’t be more proud of this bunch of people - you are going to make an outstanding group of educators! Lucky students 🙂

We have arrived at Hautbois Activity Centre for our 2 day residential

This makes us think about good questioning and how always digging into a student’s thought pattern is more powerful, it’s about developing critical thinking skills. Try to always avoid ‘telling’ the answer and, instead, ask a series of questions that help students to work out the answer themselves

Hey lovely followers..sorry we’ve been quiet recently. We’ve been busy interviewing our new cohort of trainees and booking in incredible guest speakers to deliver our curriculum - which is filling up with new and exciting content. We can’t wait to share the highlights with you!

Alongside your mentor, you will also be allocated a personal tutor, professional tutor, support tutor, subject expert and access to a university for academic support. Phew that’s alot of support to boast about!

As we welcome back our course director from maternity leave, we are reflecting on how much our trainees have grown. Been waiting for this day for ages! We finally got to meet our first cohort of trainees at a bit of an informal introduction, can’t wait to welcome them back to Ormiston Venture on Monday for the formal start of the course
