What a lovely way to end the term by doing carol singing in the community ๐Ÿฅฐ

Our school choir had a wonderful time singing Christmas carols to the residents of Dale Lodge Care Home yesterday afternoon ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ„โœจThey all sang beautifully and were very confident reading their Christmas poems. Harley certainly enjoyed all the attention!

A huge well done to everyone involved โ€“ we hope to make this an annual trip!

Don't forget tomorrow is Elf Day and Christmas Lunch day! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฝ

We're looking forward to our festive celebrations ๐Ÿฅณ

The children tucked into pancakes, muffins, gingerbread biscuits and fruit platters ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿฅž๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿช whilst doing Christmas colouring and singing along to songs ๐ŸŽถ

Santa was the highlight of the day when he made a surprise visit and gave out gifts for all ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ

Thank you to our amazing team of helpers for making today happen. It was lovely to see everyone come together and bring some festive cheer! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿซถ

On Monday, our Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputies, had the opportunity to visit our local Foodbank. They were accompanied by a member of staff, and together they helped deliver our Harvest Festival donations to those who need it the most. They were really interested to find out how the Foodbank operates and appreciated all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

We were delighted to welcome Roots to Food to Shorne Primary School on Monday. They offer fun, interactive, educational and nutritional cooking workshops for schools and delivered a fantastic masterclass with our KS2 children. The children had a brilliant day learning how to make a meal from scratch โ€“ pan-fried pesto chicken in a tomato sauce, served with steamed pasta and wilted greens. A huge thank you to Darren for his support and culinary expertise!

It might seem far away now, but families only have until the 15th January 2024 to choose a school for their child.

If your child is starting school in September 2024, we warmly invite you to attend one of our Open Days to find out more about Shorne Primary School. Come along, meet our staff, have a tour of the school, and see how Shorne will be a great choice for your child!
