Being in the construction industry for 30 + years and lifting heavy s**t, the importance of a strong and resilient spine was paramount to be able to keep on working 💰🪚🔨
Now approaching 51 yrs young keeping a healthy and strong spine is just as or even more important, this allows us to carry on doing the things and activities that we really want to do👊🤔💪🏼🏃♂️🏋️♂️🤸🏌️🚴
For proper spinal movement each segment has to be able to move freely and independently of one another thus spreading the load evenly throughout your spine 👍👊😁
Keep yourself moving🤸age is not a barrier👊
Vid1️⃣ ▶️ spinal flexion/ extension over a small object. Preferably a marker pen size, moving from lower to upper spine, simply increase the pressure and decrease the pressure at the position of the object. This helps to increase awareness of brain to body 👊
Vid2️⃣▶️ segmented cat cow, do as many reps as needed to be able to control and contract each segment👍
Vid3️⃣▶️ still with linear motion I’m just adding in a dynamic movement👍
Vid4️⃣▶️ CARS 🚗 I’m beginning to add in rotation and increasing the irradiation/ tension throughout all my body to at least 90%🔥🔥🔥🔥and really trying to squeeze out as much range of motion as possible, notice how my hips have some movement, next time I’ll use CARS 🚗 level 2 block to try fix this up💪🏼
Vid5️⃣▶️ CARS 🚗 using a 10 kg med ball to increase difficulty whilst trying to keep the irradiation high🔥🔥
Vid6️⃣▶️ using a 30 kg dead ball, now it’s getting heavy I’m backing of the irradiation and concentrating on building some capacity whilst moving the ball safely 🔥🔥👊
Vid7️⃣▶️ Final attempt 45 kg ball was my limit and the movement more restricted but the goal here was building capacity Level 3 CARS🔥🔥🔥🔥👊👊💪🏼💪🏼
Vid8️⃣▶️letting my spine receive some nice stretches before finishing with

I’ve thought about this quote many times🤔and while I think he’s right I also disagree😵💫
The fact that many times I’ve sat still practicing mindfulness or meditation and there’s been a point where stillness occurs then a shift in consciousness allows for a movement of energy, nothing is happening but something is moving. energy and thought🤔🤔
On the other hand when I’m moving in motion something is happening within my thoughts which is creativity 🤔
All very fu***ng confusing I know but I thought I’d share 🙏🏻

Ring dips💪
I’m using End range training/ functional range conditioning systems in preparation for strict ring dip training.
Slide 1 ➡️ passive range lift offs.
Using a barbell set up to help find my end range in the dip, there’s just enough space to actively lift off, using the same movement as in the dip.💪
Slide 2 ➡️ elbow extensions.
The barbell is reminding me to keep my elbows as high as possible whilst squeezing tennis balls to internally create tension/ effort 💪
Slide 3 ➡️ controlled rings dips.
Controlling or resisting the lowering part or eccentric in the dip until I’m at the end range of my position, then drive to the top part💪
Why end range training🤔
This is where we are usually the weakest in our short and long ranges of motion 💪
Using the @functional_range_conditioning systems, we can concentrate on training these areas to learn how to produce force in them👊💪

Not another food photo, I hear you say, but wait before you go let me take you on a little journey about how I got here………………………🤔
I’m not very good at telling stories but I can say that when I look back on my health journey of 5 years now and I was back in the doctors again after having another test 🙏🏻trying to find out what was wrong with me, multiple symptoms of feeling nauseous, trembling, brain fog, 😵💫another test had come back clear, my doctors words were well everything seems ok you might want to look into your diet. I can still remember the conversation very clearly. 🤔 wait what my diet, I thought I was doing ok with that but apparently not.
I went home and immediately started researching my symptoms and came across leaky gut, went back to the doctors to tell him what I’d found and he laughed it off, well that was that no more fu***ng doctors I’m on my own…………🤔
Visits to a naturopath helped guide me in the right direction of where I maybe wasn’t doing so good, 6 meals a day, hangry very often 😡I needed a complete shift in my mindset to food……….🤔
Well the story is getting complicated so I’ll have to go now but what I can say is on this health journey there are definitely some game changers that are worth paying attention to along the way with Mindset ,Movement, Mobility, Breath, Connection, Spirituality Sleep, Diet not in any order Diet has a big impact on your health and well-being and for me shifting from mainly a carb burner 🔥to mainly a fat burner 🔥🔥🔥🔥was a game changer and gave me the freedom in my life, it’s what I needed this also fixed my gut 😊😊🙏🏻and all my other symptoms magically disappeared 👏🏻👏🏻😊
The end …….🤔
