Who is Jo and What is Stomp?

Hi, I am Jo Mahan, Personal Trainer and Homeopath from Frensham, Nr Farnham. I have been a Personal Trainer since 2001. I worked in Hotels, Clubs and Spas for the first 10 years and gained experience training all types of people but I specialise in Women’s Fitness. Being 40 now with 2 kids, I understand our desires and needs from a workout. I run a studio gym in The Sands, Farnham for 1-1 Training.

Stomp is my absolute passion, here’s how it came about..

I was Personal Training at Grayshott Spa until I had my daughter and decided to become Self Employed. I knew that I loved the group sessions particularly the morning power walk session across Ludshott Common. After, ladies often followed me in to the studio for a session in Legs, Bums, Tums and Stretch. Providing a full, varied, sociable and inspiring workout. The benefits of the great outdoors for our mood and stress levels meant that we all felt ready to work hard on the exercises. So, I put it together, in order to carry out the same thorough workout -all outdoors. We named it Stomp!

The benefits of Power Walking are well documented now and range from weight loss to increased bone density, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, less impactful on joints among a host more. Not everyone is able to run, and frankly, it is not necessary for us all.
